[ A bonfire is set up next to the beach shore. And sitting in front of it is Saga, wearing Gemini and drinking from a small glass, a medium-sized bottle on one side.

Another year and another birthday. Had he remained as the Holy Father being himself and not the evil he would have endured the next two hundred plus years without grievance. But as a Saint... the passage of time is a bottomless pit.

Slightly shaking the white and transparent liquid inside the glass with his fingertips and staring at his other hand holding a turkish eye charm, a raise of a brow skeptically. ]

Really, Kanon.

[ He doesn't know if it is a gift from the heart or a pun intented. ]

[There's a soft 'whumph' of someone setting down a bottle of wine. The slightly deeper thud of a body follows as Mu sits down]

Seems as though he's looking out for you.

[A weak smile.] I guess Kanon found it amusing to give just so it could stalk me everywhere.

[ Settling himself on the sand, he takes the cup. ] Sure! Thanks.

For one, that charm's not cute. Then again, if it'd supposed to protect you from bad things I guess it has to look intimidating.

[Opening the bottle, the charm now hanging from his little finger. A gesture to him so he can pour inside.]

Bad feelings that are inside the human beings come out through their eyes. It is an ancient belief in Greece and Turkey.

[ Despite the seemingly friendly rapport Saga and Kiki have, the younger man cannot shake off the feeling that he really does not know Saga at all, beyond second- and third-hand accounts. He had tried to think of what to get the guy for his birthday, but came out with blanks -- he doesn't know what he likes, doesn't know what he would like. ]

It is understandable that Kiki doesn't know him for starters. That and how he can leave such an impression on the young Aries, good or bad, it didn't matter. Saga won't act fake in front of him when it comes to be himself. There's no need to pretend for the sake of his own pride or even other people's lives anymore.]

[From slightly further on down the beach comes the sound of a woman's name, being called out by a now-normal Jamie, who seems to be looking for someone in particular. The sight of long hair catches his attention, and he jogs towards it, only to be brought up short when he sees who it belongs to.]

Victoria! Hey, are ye over here? Vic -- oh. Hello.

[He takes in the bottle and the strange charm, and while he has no idea what the latter's supposed to be, the former could be an indication that he's stumbled across the place at the wrong time.]

Er, sorry, I'd not meant to intrude.

[A slight turn at the call of a name, and eyes wide open for a brief second when realization comes as he finds out who it is. It‘s been a while...]

There is no one called Victoria here. [Voice tone as normal as it could be.]

[ He is just about to drink until Saga posed his question. Kiki looks to the man beside him as if his hair had suddenly turned into several shades of odd.

Then he looks out into the sea. Out of all the responses that he could give: something reassuring, something funny, something that would make the sudden unease go away. He feels that there's something picking at Saga too, it's just that -- ]

"Hate" is a strong word, you know? I don't think that's a question you want to ask me.

Aye, I've gathered that. [It has been awhile, and things hadn't exactly gone well, had they? But...Jamie doesn't seem particularly bothered. Instead his eyes flick back to the charm, more curiously than anything.]

[A chuckle as he drinks more. Sure it is. And he dared to do so.] You are right.

Then maybe the most suitable word would be "loathe". [Why he insists in such adjectives... the reason behind them is that the boy may harbor certain feelings towards him deep inside. His Master, the Bronze Saints who are his closest friends, Marin... all his beloved ones suffered because of him. Athena, their precious Goddess they swore to protect...

[Raising his hand a little to show him.] A Nazar. A charm against the 'evil eye'.

[ Kiki furrows his brow as he takes a sip of his drink. ] Is it important to you to know what I, of all people, think about you?

[ He turns to look at the man. ] I don't know what kind of bond you have with me, with-- [ ugh that nickname ] "Kiki" in your reality -- assuming he's alive -- so... why are you asking me this?

[Now, that... causes a tiny squeeze inside his chest as he looks down, setting the glass on the sand. It's not that they share a bond, because there isn't. Saga himself didn't mind having the kid around his Temple nor answering lots of questions from him.

But he wanted to know more about this Kiki. Kiran. The adult. The Saint. And maybe -- ]

Because maybe... [Hesitant. How to say this?] ... we can be friends. [There! He said it!... Uhm... No, wait -- ] If you want...

[ Kiki cannot help but sporfle at that -- and he's almost tempted to smack Saga upside the head if he weren't his senior. ]

Then you could've just said so! 'Course we can be friends! Asking me if I hate you isn't the most efficient way to do that, don't you agree?

The Saint and candidate to be Holy Father who was known to be most brilliant and loved by many, can't even find words to ask a fellow Saint to be his friend.
