[It's been an immensely chaotic few days for Mu, with the revelations regarding Grey and needing to halt his little trip to meet the threat. Somehow, though, he finds himself thinking of the strangest things - like recurring aspects in his dreams.

His dreams were not something he often paid much attention to, especially after arrival on the Astral Plane made for a marked increase in nightmares, but lately, his thoughts inevitably turned to the image of a lone woman with dark hair, who's face he never saw. At first, he thought it was simply another facet of the dreams...but after so long? It's something else, he's sure of it.]

I have a question. Has anyone noted an oddity in their dreaming lately? Perhaps something recurring?

It's not just me -- I think the Doctor was first to realise she was connected to the Plane.

...I'm finding it rather troubling.

[Mu goes quiet as he tries to remember the first time he saw her.]

I think it began then for me as well, but I don't remember exactly.

It's hard because when she first showed up, we didn't know it was a recurring thing so I didn't pay attention.

Apparently so, given I've dremt of the same woman almost constantly for some time now.

Strange elements in otherwise perfectly normal dreams, actually. Namely, the repeated appearance of a dark haired woman.

[As normal as they could be around here, anyhow.]

Well I know a lot of dark-haired women, so maybe I dreamed about her but thought it was someone I know?

Perhaps. But I know only one, and have no reason to dream about her. Moreover, I can never seem to see this woman's face, nor reach her. It is both troubling and a distraction.

[her dreams typically revolve around the Alice Game, but she somehow doubts that's what Mu's talking about]

Not that I can remember, desu...

...Yes, actually. That's an alarmingly accurate description.

Strange. While I'm not alone, it seems like this oddity is not precisely widespread, either.

At least two besides myself - not enough to see a pattern, unfortunately.

Dreams can do strange things if a person's heart is hurting, desu...

[Mu blinks a bit at that. He didn't really expect that kind of wisdom out of Suiseiseki. He manages a chuckle.]

Yes, I suppose that's very true.

[it's one of the only things she can rightly claim expertise at, being the Gardener and all]

Jun's dreams did the same thing, once. He wouldn't let his tree grow and so was only hurting himself, desu. But you wouldn't do that, right?

His 'tree?' What do you mean?

[he nods slowly] You as well, then... Let me ask, have you heard of any women having these dreams? Patricia had no idea what I was talking about.

Not as of yet, but very few have approached me about it.

[he frowns, pacing a bit] I haven't got a single clue what they might mean. Unless that woman is one of the ones trapped by that creature. Communicating us via dream might her only way of asking for help.

Then why does she never communicate? If it's as you say, it should not be impossible to reach her.

[absently begins to run a hand through his hair] Dreams...are an odd thing, Mu. They never ever quite tell you what you want to hear. And,well, if she is, indeed, being held captive somewhere, then something could very well be preventing her from saying anything.

Or it's all a trap, in which case, she's just being coy to lure us after her.

After four years, I'm far more inclined to believe the second theory, quite frankly.

As am I. [then he blinks, and looks curious at Mu] Hold on a mo'. Four years? Really?

Thereabouts, yes. By my reckoning, at least - I know time runs differently for all involved.

Blimey... [for a Time Lord, four years is barely anything, yet for some reason, that same amount of time on the Plane? does seem fairly long, especially for a human.] It does, yes. I never knew it'd been that long. Well, then again, I didn't exactly ask, either.

I'd be curious to know how long time has elapsed for others, but perhaps once things are somewhat more settled. Regardless, I believe I was one of the first to be brought in for this 'experiment.'
