[Doc appears out in the middle of the Plane trapped in a hunk of wall. literally. his head can bob a little, but that's really all the movement he can manage at the moment]

Awww, man! Why is the wall still here? [he pouts. from his expression, clearly he thought he'd be rid of it when he came to the Plane, but he hasn't worked out the knack of not bringing an object you're physically ground into along with him yet. he sighs] Oh well. At least they really can't interrogate me now!

[that thought seems to cheer him up immensely, and he relaxes. for a moment, he just...hangs there. and then he starts to whistle cheerfully]

[ooc: Doc has been canon updated to the end of Season 8, Episode 6! As a note, please don't break his wall. He needs it. And if your character would try to, see if you can get them to ask first because Doc doesn't want it to be broken, either. This makes sense somehow, trust me.]

[Isaac just stares. And blinks. And stares.]

Uh...Are you okay?

[Eithan's eyes go a bit wide when the chunk of wall just suddenly appears. And when he hears Doc, he just gets even more confused. He stares for a long moment... then stuffs his hands in his pockets and shakes his head.]

Yeah, your world is still the weird one.

[at first, all Wash sees is a random chunk of wall. immediately, this puzzles him because, well, why is a random chunk of wall sitting out in the middle of the Plane? but then he hears the whistling, so he goes in to investigate, rounds the edge of the wall--and stops dead when he sees that insane medic stuck inside it]

Let me guess, you accused someone else of keeping you prisoner and they didn't believe a single word you said huh?

[docinawall]

[Doc blinks at the voice, trying to turn his head to see the other person] Oh, hi! Yeah, I'm fine now. [he seems rather proud of that] How about you?

[docinawall]

[Doc is confused again. thanks, Eithan] What? Why?

[docinawall]

You again! [Doc pouts] No. I told you that you said I'm not your prisoner, and you didn't believe me! It's not fair.

You...look kind of stuck.

Me? I'm okay...I guess. Kinda stir-crazy back home but...

Are you sure you're okay?

[That's a constant state with these two.]

'Cause you're stuck in a rock and... seem pretty okay with it. Are you okay?

But I'm the one who told you that you're not my prisoner in the first place! Why wouldn't I believe--[he stops, finally understanding (he thinks)]--oh.

Yeah... [Doc looks down at himself] I was upset about it at first? But then Wash said he can't interrogate me as long as I'm in the wall, so I guess it's really not so bad.

Stir-crazy? Maybe you should take a vacation! That might help.

[docinawall]

Oh yeah, I'm fine. I mean, I wouldn't do it again if I had a choice? But they can't interrogate me while I'm in here, so this is actually a good thing. Except the part where Simmons escaped and I didn't.

[docinawall]

I don't know! Maybe you should ask...yourself.

[Doc pauses for a moment before he asks conversationally:] Hey, um...you don't happen to have any weaknesses, do you? You know, hypothetically. In case I needed to use one against you so I don't die.

[another individual has made his way over to investigate just what a piece of wall was doing in the middle of the Plane of all places. Richter watches Doc a moment before walking forward. Caution is a great thing to have when dealing with strange sights, certainly.

Though the caution might be a bit misdirected]

And the point of this endeavor was...?

[yeah, that pretty much confirms it. many thoughts start to race through Wash's mind--but they all stop dead the moment he hears that question]

What kind of ridiculous question is that?! That has to be the worst question ever. Of all time!

[docinawall]

Huh? [Doc stops whistling, turning to Richter (his head being basically the only thing he can move). he looks defensive] Well, I didn't think the wall was going to come with me!

[docinawall]

[Doc pouts] I'm not the one holding me prisoner and then not believing that you're not even though you said so! And I don't want to die...

[punkblaze]

... Okay hold on, back up. [He crosses his arms, looks Doc over like he’s trying to reassess the situation... and then shakes his head again.] So you did somethin’ to get yourself stuck in a rock, and now that you’re stuck in a rock, you can’t be interrogated?

[betrayedtwin]

[at first, North is surprised to see Doc in that position--but since the guy seems at ease about the whole thing, he can't help but chuckle to himself]

You know, for a nice guy like yourself, you seem to get into an awful lot of trouble. [he can't wait to hear the story about this.]

[vengefulagent]

[snaps] You're not going to die!

[immediately sighs, letting out a frustrated breath] I could get you out of there, but since you're with another me--[he stops that train of thought, partially because it's so damn weird to think of himself doing such a thing, and also because he wants to know something else]--actually. I never asked what year you're in. I just assumed we were from the same year, but since I'm not likely to be taking anyone prisoner any time soon...

[docinawall]

Yeah! I guess it annoys Wash or something. [Doc would shrug, but he can't move enough to do so] They're trying to get me out before they interrogate me, but they haven't worked out how to yet. And now that I'm here, they can't get me out even if they knew how! [this is clearly a win-win situation. can't you tell?]

So, are you feeling better?

[docinawall]

[Doc is pouting] It wasn't my fault! We had to try to escape somehow. And then Simmons left without me...

[docinawall]

[nervously] Are you sure? Because I don't know--you seemed pretty mad.

The year? [Doc frowns, not understanding the significance of that question, but at least it's easier to latch onto than Washington talking about two of him. so he tells Wash the year--a much later year, in fact. one that's after the war, not that Wash will know]

Yeah, you really need to talk to you about that. You should at least say hi first!

[softly, under his breath] So I live that long, huh? That's nice to know.

[normal voice] I'm sure my other self has a good reason for keeping you. I don't want to know what that is, but I trust myself. I...have to admit I do feel ridiculous talking to you like this, but I can't break you out of there. You do have to go back sometime. Sorry.
