004 [Only the Memories Remain]

[Gwen was pale and tearful when she appeared on the Plane, trying to keep her grief and shock in check with limited success.]

The people who went missing in Camelot ... [She swallowed..] They've been found.

[She had shared her initial concerns with a number of the people on the Plane. It was only to fair to tell them what had happened. Besides, given what she'd learned about the bodies by speaking to some of the knights, she doubted that this would be the end of things. The mystery remained unsolved and she couldn't fix things alone.]

They've been murdered. [It was strange how saying it aloud made it seem all the more real.] The killer took their hands.

[Hands that had delivered coal and picked lavender and helped the cook in the castle kitchen. Hands that had belonged to real people with real lives. They might not have been rich or famous or well renowned, but they had mattered to the people that loved them.

She'd stop this from happening to anyone else. She had to.]

[oh, Oliver does not like seeing Gwen in that state] Gwen! [he hurries over to her] Gwen, what happened? There's--there's a murderer in Camelot?

[Just like ours. Conan frowned as he went to greet Guinevere. Her distress was plain to see and he couldn't help but remember how full of hope she'd been at the start of their investigation.]

Oliver! [She is in desperate need of a hug and throws her arms around his neck as soon as he came close enough for her to reach.] We've been looking for them for weeks, but we were still too late.

After we talked, two people went missing from my world too. Then two more.

It's pretty clear that this is a bigger mystery than we thought.

Then it must be something to do with the Plane. That's the only thing that connects our worlds.
