[Miku arrives on the Plane with a Toyota. The car is covered in graffiti, which Miku is puzzling over. She also looks troubled by the car]

Maybe it's not that bad.

[she sounds less than convinced]

[Satoshi is... slightly confused.] You own a car. [Robots can own cars?]

What? [laughs] Oh no, it's not mine. We're a package deal. Isn't that great? I was recommissioned to a new owner, and I came with the car.

[frowning] The only problem is somebody did that to the car. He's pretty unhappy, since he just bought it and all.

Your data hasn't been erased. [That was a question, really.]

[cheerfully] They have to do that, don't they? If I'm going to be a good fit for a new master.

[she pauses, thinking something over] This place is really weird. Even if I don't remember the stuff that went on at home, I can still remember things here, and I remember when you came to where I used to live, too.

Has anyone noticed the carried data?

[she shakes her head] I'm meant to say something, but...

It's not that bad if I don't tell them, right?

[Eithan considers the car, considers the graffiti... shakes his head.]

So... what'd he do that he felt the need to do that to tell about it?

If they can't do anything about it... then there's no point in telling them.

[she thinks about this and then cheers up]

That makes sense. You really are a smart guy, Hiwatari-kun.

[pouting] I don't know! I wish he didn't run away. Maybe then I could at least make him clean it up.

[He ignores this] I can help you remove the paint.

[Hikari: GREAT ARTISTS, EXCELLENT REPAIRISTS?]

[gasp] Really? Wow. Smart, nice, and super cute. I bet you're really popular with all the girls and boys at home, right?

[He decides not to comment--wait, 'and boys'?

No. He won't go there.] Not really. [Satoshi walks over to the car, touching the paint, then lifting it to his nose to smell it. Because that's how you identify paint if you're a Hikari.]

[tilts her head, watching him curiously before she comes over and stands beside him. She mimics Satoshi, touching the paint, then lifting it to her nose to smell it. She looks back at Satoshi] What's this do?

Different paints need different removers.

Oh! What kind of remover does this paint need?

[Satoshi doesn't respond; he drops off of the Plane. A while later, he comes back with a bucket and a cloth and silently starts working away at the paint.]

[Miku is surprised, as she watches him]

[quietly]...Satoshi?

[She silently watches him for a couple more minutes before she seems to focus again. She comes over and moves the bucket away, and then tries to take the cloth from Satoshi] You don't need to do that! I can do it myself. You shouldn't trouble yourself with these kinds of things, Hiwatari-kun.

[Satoshi lets the cloth go and steps back.] If you want.

[she smiles and takes it] You're way too nice, Hiwatari-kun. You should be careful about things like that, or someone might get the wrong idea or take advantage.

[and then she starts scrubbing]

[...take advantage of what?

He just gives up on her sometimes.]

I can take care of myself.

Yeah, but if you keep being so nice, someone else might want to take care of you, too.

I'm not being nice. [What is WRONG with you, Miku. What is nice about erasing graffiti from someone's car? really.]

[she doesn't turn around, as she's still busy scrubbing. She's also humming to herself while she works] I think you are~ If I had to say, you're probably the nicest human I know.

You need to meet better humans.

[pauses to think about this, and then cheerfully continues cleaning] That would be pretty hard to do. You are really nice.

Not really. Talk to more people here.

Like who?

Anyone who doesn't seem dangerous. [He has a tiny social circle; he can't help himself.]

Hm, but I don't know if I want to meet other people. I like spending time with you.

[Satoshi is genuinely made uncomfortable by that. There is a very specific issue that unsettles him quicker than anything else, and Miku is skirting on the edges of it.] I thought you were programmed to be social.

[~~Scary~~~~ He winces.] Yeah, that's... not comin' off so easy. Think there's someone you could take it to? Like, a car specialist or somethin'?

[Eithan knows little of cars. He knows that they exist, they go fast, and they exist in the other realm. That's about it.]

Not really. It's not my car anyway, and our owner is pretty mad. He might even try to take us back, I think.

People are programmed to be social, too, but you don't have a lot of friends here.

Take you back? [... Hooold up.] Wait. Owner?

People aren't programmed.

They're not? Then why do they like things like sex or dislike certain foods. That's all biological programming, isn't it?

[puzzled head tilt] Is there something wrong with that?

[Have a puzzled head tilt right back. He is so confused about this entire situation now.]

Uh-... no? I mean, I don't know? I just didn't know you were a servant.

I never heard anyone say it like that before, but I guess I am.

[curiously]

You know I'm a robot, right?

[the question catches her off guard, and she looks at Satoshi in confusion]

You're not supposed to do things like that. If I did, it would mean there's something wrong with me, right?

[His eyes widen a bit.]

Yeeaaah, no, I kinda didn't get that part of the story. S-Sorry.

That's okay. I don't mind if you think I'm a human. And hey, human must be pretty great if a guy like you's human.

[He grins.] Hey, I'm not human either. Half demon.

But... wow. You're seriously a robot. I had no idea! [He smiles, obviously impressed.] I think you're the one who's pretty great.

I don't know. I doubt it.
