[A mechanist is on the Plane with a work of art: a singing doll. With a nighingale's wings, of course, because when has a Hikari passed up an opportunity to add wings to a work of art? He slips the lock into the wind up and turns it, the finishing touch.
And then he remembers who he is. He frowns and says, very very quietly,] Damn.
[And as if waiting for his words as opposed to the action, the singing doll’s eyes open up and she smiles at her mechanist.]
[And then she remembers who she is, too. She smiles even more, assuming this is some kind of game] This is pretty different, huh?
[The frown doesn’t go away.] No. Do you know who you are?
[She seriously considers this] Hm, well, I’d say that right now I’m your creation. I didn’t even know you could do things like that. That’s pretty impressive. [she stretches her arms and then stretches out to touch her toes before standing up straight again] We’re usually from different worlds though. This isn’t too bad though, right?
It’s an experiment. [He adjusts his very 19th century glasses.] And I don’t know how to make it stop.
[ooc: Satoshi the clockmaker from The Nightingale and Miku the mechanical singing bird he made for the Emperor.]

[...Well, she's here anyway. Staring at them from under her hood.]

You seem excessively cold today.

It sounds familiar, but if I know it I can't remember right now. You should tell me about it.

That's what I remember, anyway.

[she thinks this over]
It sounds like a pretty happy ending for the emperor at least?
