[it's time for the detective to investigate things. Fumie appears on the Astral Plane and looks around for a minute before popping out and back in with a comfy chair, blanket and what looks like a box of food. Looking satisfied, she nods and reaches into the small pink pack at her side and pulls out a fishing pole. Yes, out of a tiny pack.

After checking the string, she sets it down and reaches back into the pack, pulling out this little dude. He's Oyaji, a tiny, adorable old man thing. She pulls out several slips of paper and prods them into Oyaji's back (who squirms at this). Then she hooks him onto the fishing pole, though he doesn't seem to mind that, and points out into the vast expanse]

Oyaji! Go out there and tell me what you find. We're looking for anything, understand?

[Oyaji blinks up at her, then salutes and starts running, squeaking as he goes. Fumie watches for a minute before settling into the chair and keeping the fishing pole firm]

[And now for something completely different. Mu just STARES at this thing]

Dare I ask?

[looks up cheerfully]

I decided to conduct an experiment!

[Takes a seat nearby.]

And what being are you using to conduct it? [Glances at Oyaji]

[gives a tug on the rod]

Him? Oh, that's Oyaji. He's just a servant-type.

[Buzuh?]

A servant - type.

Mhm! This sort of pet is only good for tasks. He's really old though.

I see.

So what are you hoping to accomplish with this experiment?

I want to find out if this place has borders. It's hard to tell. So I'm sending Oyaji out to find them. He's faster than I am.

I believe Rena tried something similar, though I do not know what came of it

(and there's the bell. ;o;)

Well, this is a much more logical approach. Oyaji won't get tired.

[Staring at Oyaji] What is that thing?

[Shenzi goes with the crowd and stares at the little man]

That's uh. Weird.

What is that thing, desu?

[Gives you... "the look" :|]

[Have a Bzuh? face from Misaki!] What is that...? And is that fishing pole collapsible?

[A bit concerned/disturbed.] You're the youngest person I've seen here.

[blinks] Ah? What's so strange about him?

It's Oyaji, my servant. He's a little outdated, ne?

[she's giving you a look right back :|]

[shakes her head] No, it's just a fishing pole. And that's Oyaji!

[then she nods] I think I am. I'm eleven.

[Suddenly feels eleven] But... how did it fit in that little bag? Is Oyaji an animal from your world?

[Frowny face] You just got dragged here like the rest? [She's beginning to really hate the Twins and Sault.]

Is he a Doll, too, desu?

And what sort of business is that?

You have him on a fishing pole.

A handy trait.
