[Crowley appears on the Plane in a cheery sort of mood, chuckling to himself. In one hand he's holding one of those little paper party noise-makers, in the other a half-empty cocktail. For once he's not actually wearing his suit--he's in a dark pair of jeans and a t-shirt that reads, in big letters, "COUNTDOWN TO BACK-PEDALLING." He is, of course, wearing his sunglasses as always.]

[Someone's at a Rapture Fail party, last Saturday.]

[He is wearing the suit Brax had given him with a t-shirt he'd managed to scrounge up. And of course, he's sans shades as they'd disappeared along with his powers. He still seems a bit shaken up over all of that.]

Can't help but be, really. Parties are always better when they're devoted to people being ridiculous about something or other.

[He throws back the rest of his cocktail and casually tosses the glass behind him, where it conveniently disappears right before hitting the ground--or what passes for "ground" here.]

[A bit of rummaging around inside his suit jacket and he produces a black iPhone, identical to his own.]

[He shakes his head] Nah. Not that those aren't interesting--they are. Almost as amusing as Parliament.

Some nutter in America had a bunch of people convinced the Rapture would be today.

[Crowley turns to get a look at Data, knowing full well that he isn't human, and smiles.]

They're quite amusing, is all. Particularly when they don't mean to be.

[Data has his emotion chip at this point, but that only makes humans more confusing.] I have had humans say the same of me.

[He cocks his head curiously.] What are you, if not human?

Ah, of course. I think there is a period of at least one end-of-the-world prophecy a year by the mid 2000s. It does seem to breed scepticism.
