[If someone happens to wander towards the forest, they'll find Eithan, pacing back and forth like he's intending to wear a hole in the ground eventually. He doesn't even seem to notice he's doing it. He also doesn't seem to notice if anyone might be approaching or not, and he's... talking to himself.]

... So I just wanted to, you know, ask. I mean, I wanna know if... No. [Sigh! He clears his throat, and tries again:] Valerie Tanaka, you are the love of my life and the reason I breathe, and Iiiee.... sound like a fuckin' idiot. Dammit!

Hey, maybe I could write her a song! ... No, I already did that for her birthday. Fuck me, why's this so damn hard?!

[He sighs again, stops pacing. He opens a small black box - a ring box - and looks down at the contents: a beautiful white gold band with a diamond in the middle and two tiny garnets on either side. He smiles a little. It's a sappy, sweet smile, but it's only there for a second before he snaps the box shut and goes right back to pacing. And thinking. Out loud.]

Okay. Okay. What if I... took her to the beach? That'd be romantic, right? ... Nngh...

[Yeah, he jumps when he finally sees Mu there, hand over his heart like it'd save him from some sort of heart attack. He takes a deep breath, then laughs a bit.]

Shit, man, I had no idea you were there.

[He rubs the back of his head, embarrassed, but smiles anyway.]

Yeah. Guess you could call it that. Just a little.

[His eyes look to the box] A woman?

[She is curious.] What are you intending to do with that?

[Look who's there like a wall in front of you, just stalkingwatching you.]

Huh? [He looks down at the box. His smile gets just a smiiiidge sappy again, and he nods.]

Ahh, yeah. A helluva woman, even. My girlfriend.

[Oliver is grinning in a rather sappy sort of way as he walks up to Eithan, amused and glad for such happy news] Beaches are romantic!

[He straightens up and stops pacing when he realizes he's not alone, and he smiles a bit when he sees who it is.]

Morgana! Hey! I, uh... [Okay, maybe he's blushing. Maybe. Will he admit this? Never.] Well, I'm... gonna propose to Valerie. My girlfriend.

[punkblaze]

[You creepers are going to give him a heart attack, goddammit!

When he finally spots the onlooker, he jumps, breaking off his mumbling with a rather loud,]

Gaaah! ... Fuck. What... uh. Hi! Sorry. I... Didn't see you.

[punkblaze]

[Eithan blinks at Oliver, not entirely registering that what Oliver says is directly related to what he's been rambling about out loud... then it clicks, and he smiles - a little embarrassed, a little nervous, but mostly just sappy and... contented.]

Yeah. They are, huh? I just... You know, it's me. Somethin' 'd probably go wrong. [A slight laugh]

Heh. Thanks man. I mean... I think she'll say yes, but... what if I mess up? I mean, I want it to be perfect. And good enough for her. And... hell, I dunno. I'm just nervous.

[Eithan shakes his head, smiling a bit, sheepish and embarrassed.]

Heh. It's all good, man. I-I'm just... well, not worried, exactly. Nervous, I guess.

Trust me, no amount of versin' in women would help you figure out Val. [Said fondly, with a bit of a laugh, and back to that sappy smile.]

[A tall, somewhat lanky figure clad in drab colours watches Eithan from a distance. After watching the amusing scene unfolding before him, he strides calmly over, with his hands in his pockets.]

What do you normally talk about? What does she like to eat? You could take her out to dine, maybe somewhere classy if she's the type.

And don't talk too much. The less talking that mouth of yours does, the smaller the likelihood of you embarrassing both yourself and her.

[Eithan's pretty wary of the guy overall, but he's not going to just dismiss him right off. After listening to the given advice, though... he laughs.]

I'm pretty sure she already knows I run my damn mouth too much. If she was gonna leave me for that, she would've already done so. But you're right about taking her out somewhere! And about how I shouldn't lose my head, but I think I've already done that, so uh. Oh well? [Grin!]
