[Isaac is no longer a god and thus can no longer generate enough to feed everybody, which means it's back to business. Which means he's decked out for adventuring again, this time featuring several much-abused and much scribbled-on maps]

So if that's there, then....

[He pulls a small stick of charcoal out from a pocket and marks something quickly, then sighs]

Which means Mt. Aleph is no good. We'll have to head south towards Kalay. Someone'll have to get Lunpa to evacuate, too.

[Isaac runs a hand though his hair and breathes deeply] But nobody can go anywhere until Piers and Felix get back...I juts hope the quakes haven't slowed them down too much.

Hiya, Riku.

Yes and no, I guess. We can't move the town back to where we were before winter, which means we need to find somewhere else to go.

Moving a whole town?

All the people, at least. Now that the roads are clear, we could probably get to Kalay...

Unless that path's been closed up, too...

Why do they need to move around so much? Are they in trouble?

[Isaac shakes his head]

Vale was destroyed last fall. We had to winter with another town, and now that it's spring, we need to settle somewhere permanently.

[darkercalling]

But you said the roads are closed. That must be making it harder... [He frowns.] What happened in your world?

To put a long story short, huge seismic shifts. There've been earthquakes for weeks.

[darkercalling]

That's a problem. Have they stopped yet? Do you know what's causing them?

They're not as frequent, but they're not stopping, either.

I have a pretty good idea, yeah.

[darkercalling]

[Faint smile] So you probably have a plan too, huh.

[looks over Isaac's shoulder, curious and concerned] More trouble?

So-so. It could get bad really fast, though.

[sits down with him] What's going on?

Well, the earthquakes have been so bad, they've pretty much rearranged all the geography in the area. Piers and Felix are out re-mapping a few days walk around us, but we can't re-settle at Mt. Aleph. The next best option is Kalay, but I don't know if the road there is intact.

[frowns] You don't think there'll be another way there if it isn't?

Not an easy one. It'll be tough to move all the elders and children as-is.

[makes a face, taking a look at the map] Is there anywhere else nearby?

Lunpa is the next closest, but it's closer to the quakes' epicenters.

[sighs] So...just hoping for the road then, huh? Do you think you'll know soon?

Piers and Felix should be back soon, so yeah.

[he wishes he could offer help, but there's really nothing he can do. he gives Isaac an encouraging smile]
