[ From a girl who appeared as if particles of sand merged just to form a solid figure; just two words to no one in particular. Words that mean nothing to no one unless they can view the Plane with the eyes of a witch. Walking around the scenery is lovely, just lovely. Nothing out of place for one who traveled realities, but has the taste on her tongue of something new, strange. Exciting. Sand and the smell of ocean water was starting to bore her as it was. This... ]

This game board will suffice just fine. Enough pieces, though with a mystery game master...

[ She pauses; thinking herself to be above such things. However, putting herself in the hands of another as a piece would be... entertaining, at the very least. She could feel herself capable of stretching her wingspan just fine-- which is to say, her powers were all intact even with the present game, and the status of piece. ]

... never mind that thought.

Playing alongside all of you will be interesting. Shall we get the pleasantries out of the way?

You say that as if pleasantries aren't the best part. [The man, well-dressed and smiling, is cordial and confident in his greeting.] I take it you're new here, my dear lady?

I am. This light in the sea of kakera caught my eye. [ At least a gentleman is the first to greet her. ]

A first impression holds a great deal of importance, but it's what comes after that interests me more.

Irving Braxiatel. It's a pleasure to meet you. [A slight incline of his head, the 26th century bow.] I don't think I've heard anybody speak of the Plane like that.

It's unique to Voyager Witches. [ She does not bow back; rather, a slight shrug that could almost pass as a curtsy, hands branching across the hem of her dress. ] I am Bernkastel, the Witch of Miracles.

[He smiles at that.] I'm afraid my title is merely that of a collector. Should I be careful what I wish for around you, my Lady Bernkastel?

... No need. I don't throw my magic around like a fool.

Yes, of arts and antiquities. [And timelines and people and ways to win high-stakes games.] Anything that catches my eye.

But I am glad to hear it. There has been a recent granting of rather impressive powers of late. We have been fortunate that none have used it too irresponsibly. Would it be too forward of me to ask what a Voyager Witch is?

[ Sounds like the two of them have the same interest in collecting. ] A fine hobby.

[ She is pleased he seems to know his manners. ] A Voyager Witch travels kakera, fragments of reality-- to put it simply, realities that exist themselves. As a wanderer in the Sea of Kakera, I was pulled into this glimmer of light.

How interesting. I'd ask if you saw a pair of twins on your way in, but they seem to have been missing of late. Do the different realities that you visit each have their own rules of the universe?

Of course. Every reality has rules which it must obey.

This one's rules... [ A pause. ] I can't quite pick them out just yet. I'll have to meet more of the people who frequent it.

A... game board? [ Have a curious child observing, although she seems a little nervous and every now and again she glances around. ] I never imagined this place to be such a thing.

All things have the capability of being turned into a game board.

... [ a soft, humorless smile ] My arrival can only do nothing more than confirm that.

Another question, if I may? When you say you're the Witch of Miracles. What do you mean by that?

One can only hope.

I am a being who can make any miracle come to pass, as long as the percentage is not zero. Simply put, of course.

I assume there would be a cost? Forgive me my cynicism, but the rules of my universe have a certain narrative causality that asks a high price the more improbable a thing is.

That would be the case with other witches. In order to make powerful magic come to pass, they would have to risk high stakes in order just to have a chance, and even then there is no promise.

My power is beyond that. There is no trade for someone like me.

Of course, I am the only one capable of this. You're correct-- it would be too much if this sort of power could be used by anyone.

[Axel, dressed head to toe in black, is rather easy to miss if not for his hair. The magnitude of the darkness that appeared on the Plane is alarming, so much that he expects a Nobody or someone equally Heartless. When he locates the source he's tense and ready for a fight.

Instead he finds the form of a cute girl. Not much fazes him but there is no denying what he's sensing.

He dons a little smirk. If anything, he's more determined to wear a mask.]

[ She sizes him up like an adult would, even though he's much bigger than her. ] You're not a voyager. None of the people I have met are... yet you all have access to this plane. Why is that?
