[hypospraying]

[Christine is walking around the Plane, wishing she'd changed out of her uniform before she arrived. She's been on her feet all day and her boots are hurting her feet. Immediately, her heels drop a few inches down to the ground as the boots disappear, replaced with a pair of fluffy pink slippers.]

What the...? That's not normal.

[She frowns, cautiously lifting up a foot, then sets it back down and bounces on her toes a few times.]

Huh. Well that's better.

[She looks down at her uniform, thinks for a moment, and is suddenly wearing a matching pink, fluffy robe. Her hands run down the material, as if she can't believe it's not an illusion. A smile spreads across her face, the apprehension gone.

An hour later, she's standing in front of three full length mirrors, a drink in one hand and the other set on her hip as she gives herself a critical look in the mirror. She's wearing a slinky, strapless red dress, her hair is done up with curls just escaping their pins, and she's practically dripping with gold jewelry. The pink slippers, however, are still on her feet.]

I think not the red. Bad things happen to people who wear red.

[With a thought, the dress has transformed to a green halter style. She sips at her drink, tilts her head, and changes the gold jewelry to silver with emeralds.]

Perfect.

[Leela watched Christine from a distance, her forehead creased into a frown of disbelief. The machine had given her such power, but she used it to change her clothes? It was not a toy. It was a gift! She could not believe how many people were wasting it.]

[hypospraying]

[Christine spotted Leela through the mirror, though they hadn't officially "met" yet. Unless you count your Mirror universe self coming to the Plane to pick on a scared woman, which Christine wouldn't, because she doesn't know about it.] Oh, hello there. Probably wondering what I'm doing, huh? I know, it looks silly, but I'm just trying to unwind.

[Morgana is aghast] You're a witch?

[hypospraying]

Oh! No, no, definitely not. [She laughed a bit at the idea.] I promise you I have no idea how I'm doing these things, but I figured it was something the Machine cooked up. [She gestured to Morgana.] Don't you have this ability too?

[She shakes her head] Not at all. It must be a thing of the Machine, for it is well beyond what even the most powerful witches in my world are capable of. Are you well? [It's the Machine. She expects a catch.]

[hypospraying]

I feel fine. Though I'm not sure if that's a good sign or not. [With a thought, two cushy armchairs appear and Christine plops down into one.] Would you like to sit?

[bonnypiperlad]

[Jamie, catching the tail end of this, eyes Christine a little uncertainly. The last time he saw her, things were...a little different, and he's not sure if he should risk talking to her. Still, she's switching around her clothes, which leads him to think she's gotten these odd powers too. Maybe she knows what's going on.]

Hello.

[hypospraying]

[She turns and smiles.] Oh, hello there yourself. Has this been happening to you too? The whole "think of something and it happens," thing?

[oliverplus]

[Oliver steps up behind her a little uncertainly. unlike Christine, you wouldn't know he has god powers to look at him. his hair is in its usual disheveled state, and he's wearing a T-shirt and jeans like any other day]

You too, Christine?

[hypospraying]

Oliver! [She looks pleased to see him and a bit relieved at the same time.] This is happening to you too? Glad I'm not alone.

[oliverplus]

Yeah... I guess it's happening to lots of people.

[he doesn't sound the least bit relieved to be in good company]

[hypospraying]

I'm kind of worried it'll go to my head. That's why I'm staying here, instead of trying to go back home. [She gives him a critical look.] It worrying you?

[oliverplus]

[in a word?] ...yeah.

[trying to sound casual] But it doesn't seem too bad so far! I mean...you look great.

[hypospraying]

[She looks down at herself.] Yeah, I'm kind of the kid let loose in the toy store. [She looks back up at him.] I'm thinking it can't last long, right? All the things that happen here, these crazy things. They never last.

[oliverplus]

[his expression slips a little at that] I hope not.

I mean...just about everything I've been part of's been short. So this'll probably be short, too!

[hypospraying]

Right! [She nods absently to herself.] Right. So hey, what sort of things have you been doing with your powers?

[bonnypiperlad]

[He blinks for a moment at the smile, but is quick enough to answer.] Aye. It's been happening to a few of us, from what I've been able to gather. I'm just not sure why.

[Glancing down at the slippers, he blinks at those too.] Er, you've left your slippers on.

[hypospraying]

[She too looks at the slippers, but she smirks.] What, you don't think they go? [Immediately they change to a green pair of fluffy slippers and she laughs.] Didn't feel like trying on heels.

Uh, thank you. [She blinks at the chair as she sits in it... and is really tempted to poke at it.] This is a strange gift for the Machine to be passing out freely.

[hypospraying]

Is it? I was thinking with all the crazy stuff here that this was just the sort of thing that would happen. [She shakes her head and finishes her drink. Immediately it refills, the liquid rising up from the bottom of the glass.] I figured it won't last long, so I'm just gonna stay here until it does. [After a moment's thought, she adds,] I wonder if it's some sort of morality test.

Um... [as few things as he can manage, mostly]

Well...I did try to get to the controls for the Plane.

[Don't mind the lanky, long-haired man who smells faintly of sulfur sidling up to you.]

[hypospraying]

Controls? What kind of controls?

[hypospraying]

[She casually steps to the side to get away from that smell.] I prefer blue. Makes my eyes pop.

[He did not seem to mind, simply standing there once she moved away, his fedora and unruly bangs shadowing his eyes as he smirked.]

They are a nice shade of blue.
