[A tall man arrives to the Plane with only a momentary look of wide-eyed shock before his face settles into its default nonchalant expression. He takes a glance behind and finds no entrance from which to exit. Feeling for one does not work for the place has gotten so much bigger in so short an amount of time.
He takes quiet steps with long strides, quietly walking along the nothingness which reflected fractured, mismatched astral skies.]
Heh. It's like patchwork. [There's smirk tugging at just one corner of his lips and his previously dull green eyes flicker with menace, despite the calm and level tone of his voice.
Perhaps it was a strange thing to find humor in, but what caused him to smile in such an manner was even stranger: the metallic scent that hung in the air— was it air?
He passed what appeared to be a beach and some harps, among among other things. He didn't bother with the Information Kiosk, doubting its existence as something more than an elaborate illusion.
It reminded him of blood. Like a raven to carrion, he found himself drawn to this place, although he did cut short his leisurely walk through the expanse.]
Alright, that's enough... it's been a great show, I have to admit. I'm impressed. Now...
[He raises his head defiantly to the sky that stretched out above him, refracted the roaming stars of the abyss below. The next time he speaks, it's still calm, but with a sharper, more threatening edge.]
Show yourselves.

She had been spending her time now wandering the Plane to see what else had been conjured up because of these bizarre happenings.]
2/?
She sensed them. They were here. On the Plane.
Already her heart rate was beginning to race as she looked around. Her initial thought was to run. Drop from the Plane and get back home. But she couldn't now. No one could. And now that one of them were here the same applied to him or her.]

Or at least, that's how it seemed to Ai.
Her footsteps came to a halt when she could see someone standing there. A tall figure cloaked in a black coat. From beneath his hat his long hair hung. And as soon as he started talking she thought her heart had actually stopped.
Of all those that could have arrived-- Gin.]
[1/2]
She's still a little way away and Gin has yet to register her size.]
She— no.
[2/2]
Maybe it was her and she simply appeared shorter. It made about as much sense as anything else here and so he began to walk over to her, calmly.]
Sherry?
((Aha, for now, he's just making a guess, because everything else about the place was so weird, he could buy a shrunken Shiho. Don't worry, Ai isn't really uncovered just yet! xD;
Maybe if she plays her cards right... she can throw him off her trail. ^^;))

This had to be a trick. It couldn't be real. This couldn't be happening. Not here, not him, of all people! And hopefully she was far enough away for him not to notice the reflection of absolute terror that flashed across her face at the sound of her codename.
Ai needed to think and she needed to think fast.
Already she could hear Conan's nagging voice in her mind repeating over and over again to play up the child act card. Before she found it to be pointless, especially since she was mostly around either Agasa or the kids, and with the kids they didn't seem to care in the slightest that she acted mature for her age. But this-- this very moment she had to come up with something on the spot or else forfeit the restricted freedom she had found for herself when she escaped them.
Forcing herself to smile, painfully so at that, she willed her feet to move to draw a few steps closer. When she was close enough she spoke up. Miraculously she managed not to squeak, mumble or even stutter.]
Are you lost, mister?
[1/2]
The way she addressed him was not like her at all. That childish voice was not Sherry's.
More and more, this one started to look like a child. It confused him enough to leave him speechless, at least for a moment.]
[2/2]
... this joke isn't funny. [He did not look impressed.
Perhaps her act would work?]
no subject
But I didn't make a joke! I only asked if you were lost!

Luckily for you, Ai, up until now, your performance has been spot-on.
He's still suspicious, but you're getting him to have second thoughts.
He makes a thoughtful sound, before crouching down low so that he's almost at her level. This would most certainly count as an invasion of personal space, not that he cared; as far as he's concerned, he's just getting a better look at her.
There may be a hand reaching up to catch your hair.]
And if I was?
no subject
Moving to avoid the hand in a fluid motion as if she hadn't even noticed it to begin with, she hopped to the side a few steps before pointing in the direction of the kiosk.]
Then you should go to the kiosk and pick up some pamphlets! They're supposed to be very helpful and has tons of information about this place.
[All the while her thoughts were racing, hoping and praying that this would work.]

OBVIOUSLY what Gin wants more of is kids, so this time he gets a 15-year-old line-facing kid who is a cop in his spare time. But it's school uniform all the way, here.] The pamphlets explain it.
no subject
Give me one good reason why I should trust what they have to say.
[Line-facing kid, meet apathetic assassin, who seems to think now is a good time to light up.]

Acting was never your strong point.
[Her acting had no issues he could detect just yet, but he figured he had nothing to lose by continuing to speak to her as though she were Sherry: if she were, it would be his gain; If she were not, all that would happen might be that the girl would think him very strange... not that he cared.]
no subject
You don't have a choice in it.
no subject
Acting? What do you mean, mister?
no subject
[His tone was gruff and impatient.]
no subject
[Gin was not going to follow the orders of what appeared to be nore more than a mere boy.
Still, the boy may have a point there, so Gin smirked.] Oh?

[Gin glanced briefly at him, but his gaze did not linger more than he felt was necessary. He sounded disinterested.
By the time Dino approached him, Gin had already diverted his attention from the starry "skies" to tap a cigarette out of one of the packs he brought along.]

Oh... okay!

[He slowly rose, eyes still fixed on Ai.
Then, he smiled again.]
I suppose you're right... what was I thinking, talking to some brat... you couldn't possibly be that woman.
[He turned away.] I guess I'll go get some pamphlets.
[Despite his relaxed, almost flippant tone, it goes without saying that Ai was far from safe with Gin's arrival.]
[Sorry for the delay~ had an exam. x3;;]
[He'll blow smoke lazily into the air.]
no subject
[Gin pretended not to notice it, smoking his cigarette.]
no subject
Fear was funny like that.
She can't bring herself to say anything. She didn't want to maintain his attention any longer than she already had.]
<3 I know how it goes
