008 - ｷﾀ━━━(ﾟ∀ﾟ)━━━!!!

[Box appears in middle step on the Plane. Wearing maybe the most ridiculous outfit: a black suit, with black gloves and tie... and a computer monitor on his head, with sunglasses. It's actually a cosplay. A 'modern' Tokyo Pudding cosplay. Though he doesn't seems happy or energetic about it. He just takes off the 'hat' dropping it on the floor with a tired sigh.]

[Box doesn't say anything just gets his DS from his pocket as he sits down, and starts to play. Since, what could be more occupying than Pokémon? He still feels awful about that stupid watch-thing, and other problems, and sometimes you just want to get away and... play on your DS.]

It doesn't matter anymore, I can go back to Page whenever I want... He won't even notice.

[He was muttering it mostly to himself as he's engaged into another Pokémon battle.]

[Hello, this is Isaac and he's STARING at your pokeymanz]

[And this is Box slowly looking at Isaac, from the screen, and just... staring back at him.]

It's Tepig. [He mutters quietly, and continues playing. It doesn't even occur to him that someone wouldn't know Pokémon.]

A...Tepig?

[WHAT IS THAT.]

...Box?

Tepig. [Box moves the DS so Isaac can see the screen too.] That pig thing there. Fire type. [But then looks at Isaac again, staring some more. Then he realizes, yeeeeah Isaac probably doesn't know Pokémon, nor DS...] I-I mean this is a game, a... game where you can fight against pokemons and... get badges, and... stuff. It's a good game. And this is a game console called Nintendo DS. There is already one on 3D but I haven't gotten around to buy one yet, maybe after my next commission, and... [And more rambling there.]

[SCIENCE!]

[But Box freezes at her voice, and looks up at Morgana pretty afraid. He is biting his lower lip nervously for a moment then stands up... to back away a bit.]

Morgana... was it? I... [But he can't continue.]

Yes. [She looks down, knowing that this is uncomfortable.] I apologise for any harm that came to you during that time.

[Sighs through his nose, rubbing the back of his head. Box looks away as he answers.]

Oh, ah uh, no, I should apologize, I-I was kinda, let's say, a jerk, and being all weird, and evil, and more hateful about women... I mean, you know i-it's different being afraid of something and hating something, so you should never confuse the two, and I'm usually just afraid, but this time I really hated on you, and on people actually. But weren't you injured...? I remember you were, are you alright now?

I have known worse from those meant to be my allies. [Sexist advisers suck. AS HICCUP PROBABLY KNOWS NOW okay don't think about that weirdness, Morgana, focus on Box.] And I have also gotten worse injuries in battle. The Doctor was able to help my injuries. You are... recovered? [She's not quite sure. That. Box.]

[It will be an important lesson to him! But Box just nods, trying to look... compassionate.] Sorry, it's just we are... scum like this. [Shrugs, not a big deal. Really.] Oh, then good, he is a great guy, knowing stuff like that... [Trails off, looking at his hat.] I-I am, I'm back to work, we are trying to catch someone who is putting cameras in the female cosplayers' changing room, very serious task, I think it's the first one we get as a group, and Daruma-san is very enthusiastic, so he made awesome costumes, except for me and Page. [Box is motioning to the monitor with his hand that holds the DS.] He says it's modern, pff what's with that, it doesn't even look like Tokyo Pudding.

[She doesn't know where to start here.] How are we scum? [And then the other part:] And what is 'cosplay'? Or Tokyo Pudding?

What- no not you! I mean, um, we, like us, as in this case, me. I was just saying it as us, because Page and Taiko and Daruma are-- they aren't good with women either. Or any otaku.

[Stares at Morgana for a while, then gets his phone from his pocket.] Cosplay is the short version o-of costume play, so basically it's dressing up as someone, maybe a character from an anime, or a manga, or video game or ero game... Or a maid, aaah maid is really the best cosplay you can imagine, you know they have short, frilly skirts and you can just tilt you head and almost look under them and- Ah, look this is Tokyo Pudding.

[And Box holds the phone for Morgana to see the youtube video about men with pudding heads, singing. Though it's a bit awkward because he stands pretty far away from her.]

I don't--what is an anime? Or a manga or a video game or an ero game? [She knows what a maid is, obviously, but she doesn't see why you would want to dress up like Gwen and wait a minute--but the video is so strange that it distracts her from snapping at Box.]

Oh, you don't know-! Sorry, I'm living in Akiba so long, I sometimes forget there are people outside too who don't know these things. Especially that you are a foreigner too. These are the things I like, maybe I could show you some later. [Box looks at the video then too, thinking it baffled Morgana just as much as him.] It's so old, and I had to dress up as them, so not original! If he would have asked me I could have designed a set-up, a costume, not this...! Though I'm not into cosplay, so...

[Because talking about these things is much better then being awkward and apologize, and talk about those other things.]

Hmmm? [Box stops the video, better not shock the poor girl more.] They were entertaining people with this, they got pretty famous. I don't like them. [As usual, he is clear on a few things.]

[Cue awkward silence.]

Um, I... don't think I... thanked you. What you did back there... [Pushing random buttons on his phone.]

It was nothing. [Quickly] What is the device you are holding?

Eh? Oh this is just an old iPhone... [For an otaku every electronic device is old, duh...] But I might change it to LG, or Samsung, they are getting better than this lately. You haven't seen an iPhone yet? [He asks and wipes it off with a cleaning towel before holding it up to handle it over, as if he would give fresh meat to some lion through the fence...]

[She takes it, too distracted by it to notice that he's treating her, you know. Like a dangerous creature.] And it is not a form of magic device?

[In a way she is a dangerous creature. For Box anyway, so he stands back and eyes Morgana a bit confused.] Uuuh no! Magic...?! It's not even real, magic has never existed, ever why would it be a magic thing? No it's... [Okay now he is looking Morgana all over again.] It's a phone. You can talk to people with it, and... Great Purge? What is that? Something like the Black Death...? Though I guess it's not like that, since it says purge, but well if it had something to do with the plague, then- Camelot? [Perks up.] Isn't that an imaginary place? Something with a sword and all, yeah I remember we were reading a lot about it with Mik... [OKAY, Box stop so suddenly even he is confused for a moment. Did he really just thought about her?! Why all of a sudden... Gah, stupid women.] Who's Uther...?

It is not imaginary, it is very real. Uther was our last king.

... Oooh!! Sorry, yeah I always forget that here everything can be real! It can be so confusing, I mean, you know what you thought is not real suddenly becomes real, and that is just very--- well, scary. In a way. Because it's not real. It shouldn't be. You know?

So there is no sword...? [Yes, Box is fixated on that idea.]

[She pushes back her riding cloak, revealing the hilt of her sword, which she draws out as if it were a very good old friend.

Morgana loves her sword, okay?]

There are many swords and no 'phones' whatsoever.

Whoa--! Sword! [A real sword has such a different feeling than a cosplay one, so Box is surprised.] And is this the one? I mean, you know I read that it was like... So this young boy, Arthur was nothing special, and and and then Merlin got THE sword from the lake, and stick it into some rock and Arthur was the one being able to pull it out, and that's how he was being the heir of the Pendragon and founded Camelot! [Excited, oh wow, he can already see a doujinshi like this: fem!Arthur in Camelot.]

[It is Morgana's turn to be completely confused.] This is a sword made by my maid's father, a blacksmith. Arthur was born and raised a prince; he has always known himself the heir to the Pendragon line.

[And now for the most weird part] And what does Merlin have to do with anything? He is only Arthur's manservant.

Wow... different storyline. Strange. Or, well, not strange, if we say that you are from a different story. Yes... [Nods, but frowns then.] What? WHAT? No, that is just no! Who thought about this, this can't be right Merlin is-- Hmm, but he DID serve Arthur so why can't he be a manservant, hmm. Interesting way to put it... But no no, he is still more awesome than Arthur, even if Arthur is a knight, and he is a magician, and all, so he can't be a manservant, but not just like any servant!

[Like all people in Camelot, Morgana is obliged to disbelieve that Merlin could have magic.] If Merlin had magic, he would not subject himself to Arthur.

He would, he would! Because you see, Arthur is just a poor boy suddenly have to be king, he needs someone who guide him, no? And there is Merlin with all his powers and magic, and all the stuff that makes someone awesome, so he... helps him. In my version, or well the version I read.

You know a very different Arthur to my king.

I do? Mm, well I think that story has a lot of versions anyway, so it's natural to have alternative universes around. I guess. [It's not natural, duh, there should be just one version!] It's still a good material to make a doujinshi out of it! Oh, yes I will do that, wow, really... [And there is this stare, Morgana, Box is so planning to use your character in it, yes.]

[She really doesn't get what is going on, but that stare. That stare gets a look back, as she tries to figure out what it means.] What is a doujinshi?

[Box is so oblivious he is doing maybe something improper.] Oh a doujinshi is amateur comic usually! Yes, I'm sometimes making some too. It's relaxing, and I like the plotting behind it and the drawing- but you know I can show you some if you uuuh... give me back my phone. [Gets a napkin, and holds out his hand for it.]

[She gives him back the phone, still confused.] What is a comic?

A comic? It's... the fusion of art and literature, you know. It's... it's awesome. [Quietly, and seriously. Because comics are awesome. He browses on his phone, then shows a doujinshi to Morgana with a typical schoolgirl with a big sword, who is fighting with some Roman emperor.] See, that is Juicy-chan. One of the characters I- We- uh, thought up.
