The Picture of

It occurs to me to wonder about age. If it is true that time does not pass in our worlds whilst we are here, what would happen if we stayed here for long periods? Time still passes for us, if only here. Would our bodies feel the effects? Either we age, in which case we could appear to age years in a single moment when we return to our worlds, or we do not age, and our experiences may reflect those of one Mr. Dorian Gray. Though I suppose others may not be familiar with that piece of literature. Suffice to say that the Astral Plane may be a fountain of youth - possibly with dire consequences.

Any thoughts on this matter?

Only way to find out is to wait.

Or ask one of those freaky things.

I've been wondering about that too. Time not pass back home convenient but there has to be a catch somewhere.

...Things like this almost always have consequences.

I sometimes spend hours here... I guess that would add up pretty quick.

I certainly hope we're not all Dorian Grays in the making.

You could run an experiment.

Like who?

I've been curious about the matter of aging as well. Perhaps an experiment, hm?

Take something that does age, though quicker than people, and observe it's progress while on this plane. A plant would work well.

[OOC: Sorry for the second tag. Missed a word :x]

Even if they lie they'd tell you something by lying. The best lies are half-true.

Isn't it always?

[identity profile] noking.livejournal.com 2008-04-11 03:26 pm (UTC)(link)
But asking is less time consuming.

[identity profile] frigidfourth.livejournal.com 2008-04-11 03:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Then it may provide us with the answer. I am unable to acquire plants for the time being. However, if you can bring them here, I can arrange for the experiment.

[OOC: Thx~ ♥]

Any remote corner of this plane should be sufficient. It might be best to moniter it in shifts.
