[Asch inspects the new body of water that's appeared seemingly overnight around the bar. He doesn't touch it, but paces the edge, listening carefully.

All of a sudden he cries out in agonizing pain, but not because he's been hurt by the water critter. It seems to be something in his head, if the way he screams and claws at his temples is any indication.]

Ggrrggh— stop—!! Stop it! Aaagh...! [Fending off the sudden body-wrecking brainache leaves him panting, shaking, and falling to his knees. But it doesn't stop there. His eyes widen as he looks over, and then they narrow into a shade of deadly jealous green.]

How did you just— that's impossible! Shut up... shut up! [He draws his sword without warning, blade singing through the air and hitting... nothing. Asch staggers to his feet, spurred on by fear and anger.] You took everything from me! But I won't— [He swings wildly, chasing that specter right into the water. Growling and splashing results, but he ignores it.] — I won't let you take MY LIFE!

[Suddenly, Asch clutches at his head again and almost drops his sword. It passes quicker than last time, but when he looks up, he seems to have lost his invisible tormentor and gained a different one. Asch hisses and runs for the 'shore', makes it just in time, sliding out of reach of whatever the fuck that thing is. Wet, somewhat aching, and completely confused, Asch leans on his sword for support.]

I can't believe dreck like him got me to fall for such a stupid trick...

[OOC: Asch may or may not try to attack your character because he's hallucinating. He can be broken out of it before people get hurt though, don't worry. ♥]

[Mu was actually on his way to the bar. He had a run in with ye-olde invisible monster earlier, and is now dragging a broken-necked zombie behind him as a distraction while he crosses.

But Asch catches his attention first. Not knowing what to say, Mu watches, cool as ever.]

[Just the person he wanted to see! His eyes widen and snap to Luke, who in Asch's mind has just come back to torture him some more.]

YOU!

[In a flash Asch is right there, sword swinging for the boy's shoulder. He'd better get that sword out quick.]

[Asch yanks his sword out of the ground and runs for Roxas without warning. So much for hurting-- seems like being crazy gives him... crazy stamina.]

[This is some high quality entertainment, Mu. I don't blame you.

Asch looks up at-- uh, nothing in particular-- with a bit of fear, and then he falls backwards, shuddering as if hit.] Gwagh—! [He kicks at the air, slices, and continues to pursue a foe that isn't there.]

I'm not you! You hear me?! I'm not you!

[Mu drops the meatbag and approaches slowly]

[He's caught in the parry, long hair falling into his face. Once forced to stare into the eyes of his opponent (whom he expected to be taller for some reason) he begins to realize that something's way, way off.]

Y-you're not...

[He steps back, still shaking visibly and dripping wet. Those things are unrelated, though.]

... I'm on the Plane?

[ Roxas holds his position for a moment before relaxing his stance somewhat. ]

Yeah, you're on the Plane.

[His head snaps to Mu. His green eyes are still clouded with the Plane's magic.

Seventeen years of pure-blooded hatred squeeze into a single syllable, the word itself bleeding from pure unadulterated rage and betrayal until it becomes more than a name— it's a curse, a blight upon the world, a ransom note never delivered that was written in the blood of a child.

That child is now an adult.]

[He might be crazy right now, but those feelings are painfully real.]

[It's lucky that he has a good enough reaction time. Luke draws his sword and stumbles back under the sudden attack, holding the hilt tight.]

[... But he was in Baticul. At least he thought. He fell into the fountain, and then...

Asch looks down at himself and then notices there's water nearby. He sheathes his sword with a snap and clamps down on all the anger and confusion. It's not that he's actively suppressing so much as just /shutting down/. It's better to not think, sometimes, at least when you can't be sure of what's real and what's not.]

Something's toying with us. It made you into an enemy.

[Asch doesn't relent. He also has no issues getting up in Luke's face. So much for hiding his identity, especially since he's wet.] Don't act all innocent, you failure!

At Roxas' apparent concern, he scoffs.]

None of that was real. At least...

[Something splashes idly across the cool, clear water. Like it's taking steps. Except there's nothing there.]

[ Roxas twitches at the sound, then shakes his head. ]

There was way too much splashing. ... I think there's something in there.

[Luke is a bit distracted at the moment trying to keep his limbs intact and focuses on trying to push Asch off. If he can just get away...]

[Oh, hey, that actually works! Luke has... uh... sanity on his side, as well as leverage. Asch is pushed off! He levels his sword and moves to strike again, but imagined pain shoots through his side and he staggers, falls to his knees hard, and drops his sword.]

... What's... what's happening to me?

We could cover it in something. [He runs a hand through his hair-- yep, he's still in one piece. Must've been a close one.] Or shock the water.

[Luke falls back in surprise, blinking at him. He doesn't put away his sword just yet but he can tell whatever's up with this guy has passed for now.]

That's what I want to know! Are you always this nice?! You could have killed me!

[But...well, he doesn't seem well so Luke gets a little closer.] Look, you should probably...sit down or something. You don't look so good.
