[There's a burst of what could be described as interdimensional static, a spray of colours in something almost resembling a test pattern. Screams, sounding normal at first but then suddenly changing, deepening and drawing out until it becomes nothing more than a dull grinding sound. Voices yelling. Sounds of flames. Sounds of straning, of creaking as though heavy stones are shifting against each other. Explosions. The sounds of running. Grunting, as though someone is trying to lift a heavy object. Someone screaming "It's not going to work! It won't hold!" "We can't give up!" The sound of many heavy things hitting the ground. More screams. Crying. Sirens. A deep voice whispering "Sound the evacuation alert."

When Reiko finally appears, in her projection body, there's a distinct heat affect around her, causing her to shimmer slightly. She frowns as she looks around, before shaking her head.]

I'm relatively sure this is it. If it's not, I don't want to know what is.

You can't break away from your world when you access the Plane, but can you stay in your world without being on the Plane? I'd assume so, given the lack of regular explosions.
