[SURPRISE, GUESS WHO. She's in a hospital bed, strangely enough, but that doesn't seem to have stopped her from working as she's got a laptop with her. She looks up every now and then, as though she's watching something.

After a few minutes of this, she looks up from her work and addresses the Plane as a whole.]

Did you know that it only takes three days without sleep for you to be declared legally insane?

What a useful law. I'll have to have a word with the Emperor about instating it.

[A large red cat with a spiky mane reminiscent of Red XIII places his paws on the end of the bed and purrs like a motorcycle.]

[Eyes his outfit]

He must not have, if he lets you get away dressed like that.

I'll assume you're not a pet, but someone resident.

Theoretically, you should be getting sleep.

Need a big fire-elemental pillow?

When I've finished my work, perhaps. I seem to be the only one capable of doing it at this point...

I'm not sure that a large feline is likely to be prescribed by a doctor.

How about a large feline with a track record of saving the world?

[He drops the grin for a moment.]

I spoke to Roxas. We're not sure how much help the Keyblade could be, but we want to try. It's your call.

Keyblade?

[Now this has her attention. She closes the laptop.]

It's a special kind of weapon that's used to dispatch the Heartless, which are the manifestations of the darkness in people's hearts. It's like a disease. Heartless attack people and take more hearts, creating more Heartless. You get enough of them and they'll go after the heart of a whole world, and if they're successful, then that world will break apart... scattering the survivors across the universe.

From what you told me and the footage on that disc you sent me, that's a lot like what's happening on your world. Dimensional monsters or not, there's another thing that the Keyblade does that we can try.

Were this another time, I might inquire further about the logistics of your reality. It sounds quite interesting. However, I have a feeling we are running short on time.

What are you thinking, then?

[Sirius, who looks like he hasn't had a decent night's sleep in forever, just laughs at her statement] I must be madder than I thought, then.

[Gives him an appraising look for a moment]

You look how I feel right now.

We'll figure this out and then you can interrogate me all ya want. [A brief lionish smile.]

Anyway, each world has a barrier. The only way to access a world is when that barrier is broken by the Heartless or something else. The Keyblade has the ability to seal off worlds properly, as well as keep things away from that world's heart.

It's a long shot, but if we can do the same thing with your world, everything could go back to normal. [He closes his eyes. Quieter:] You might even be able to get the people who've died from this thing... to come back.

[he also looks like he hasn't eaten in forever. the two may be related. He just shrugs, though.] Haven't had a decent night's rest in a long time. What about you? [he eyes the hospital bed, concerned]

[She nods, quietly at his words, considering for a moment.]

The only thing I'm not sure about is where specifically the "world's heart" is... my world is rather large, and right now many forms of transportation are nonfunctional due to the problems with the empty rifts.

Stayed up one too many days, and got into a rather unpleasant fight. Apparently I work far too hard, but right now I don't think any of us can work hard enough.

You look like you could use this more than I. [She gestures to the unopened hospital lunch tray sitting on the table next to her bed.]

Keyblades are pretty handy for finding that stuff. I'm sure he'll find a way. He always does.

Is there anything you need on my end, or can you handle this yourselves?

[shakes his head] Thanks, but I'll be alright. I tend to live in the kitchen while I'm here. When I'm not in the mansion or the bar, anyway. Sirius Black, by the way. I don't think we've met.

We just need a way to get into your world so that we can do it. As long as I've been here, I've never done anything this... ambitious.

Reiko. I'm not sure I've seen you around.

I think I showed up about a month or so before those death matches started? So I haven't been here long, really. You might've met my best mate, Remus Lupin.

... how do you normally access worlds?

I've been here for... almost a year. How curious, that it's come down to this...

I may have, although I don't recall meeting him. I've been rather busy the past few months, though...
