[Shion is off in a corner of the forest, crouched on the ground as he carefully builds a small pile of pebbles around a slightly larger stone onto which he has scratched a rough symbol and a few Greek letters that spell 'Sisyphus'. After a while he sits back and looks over his work before laying a long, metallic gold feather across the stones ] I am afraid this is all I can do for you at the moment, my friend. I will make sure your sacrifice is not in vain. Once it is over, I shall see that you receive a more fitting memorial in Sanctuary.
[Not that he's certain he'll even survive the coming battles, but that's something he has decided not to dwell on.]

[Mu keeps a respectable distance for awhile, until he realizes what Shion's up to, then walks a little bit closer and kneels out of respect]

[He will glance over at Mu, but he doesn't say anything. Still, he is grateful for his presence.]

[Mu lets the silence stretch on as long as is comfortable, before asking,]

Was it a good death?

[Will reply softly] ...Yes. He defeated one of the Judges, then he died to allow us to pass the gates. Out of all of us, I think he was one of the most pure.

Of that I've no doubt.

[He's silent another moment] I fear it will make some of the others lose heart. Sisyphus was the one they had started looking to as a leader.

And will you take his mantle, then?

[Like Mu, Sirkka gives him a few minutes to make peace with the makeshift memorial before approaching. In the meantime she's received some flowers from a friend at home— soft pink roses, daisies, and sprigs of tiny pink flowers in remembrance.

She doesn't say anything to Shion, but nods to him as she approaches the stones and sets the bouquet down. She closes her eyes and bows her head for a moment, because you don't need to be a Christian to pray.]

[Is silent for a moment in respect for that before speaking softly] ..Thank you.

If it is needed, yes. At the moment Lady Athena seems to wish to take command but I will make sure she does not put herself in danger.

[She looks up when she's done and greets Shion with a soft, sympathetic expression.]

He must have been an incredible person.

She was fond of Sysiphus, wasn't she? Is she up to it?

She and Sisyphus were close, and I am worried how his loss will affect her. So far she seems to be holding up, but I am uncertain how much of that is real and how much is her trying to reassure the rest of us. I wish we had the time for her to stop and deal with her emotions, but that is not a luxury that Hades is prepared to give us.

[His voice is still soft] ...He was. He was the most honest and pure warrior I have ever met.

The world needs more people like that.

[She folds her hands across her stomach, not sure if touching one of those psychic people is a great idea. Especially when he has so much grief. Everything about her seems to project feelings of comfort though.]

Will you keep fighting for him, then?

I trust you to take care of her.

[That does mean a lot to him Mu] Thank you. I swear I will bring her back safely. Please keep an eye on Alta and Kiki, just in case.

There always has been far to few with hearts like his.

[His fist clenches] Not just for him, but for the world and for Lady Athena. There is far to much at stake for us to fail.

[She considers, then reaches out to touch the clenched fist. It's a slow and gentle motion. She's practically radiating warmth.]

You won't fail. Everything will be all right.

Thank you. I hope that we have Hades so occupied that he will not try anything else, but I will feel better knowing they are in your care.

[Shion endures the touch for a moment before pulling away. Although he does appreciate what she's trying to do he's not used to being touched, or receiving sympathy.]

We will win at least. [He just doesn't want to think about what it will cost in the end.]

[She lets him pull away, and simply gives him a light, reassuring smile.]

Yeah. And the fighting will end. No more lives will be lost to it. That's the future that your friend gave his life for.
