[Ray is chilling out at the bar like he always does, but things are slightly amiss. Mainly the fact Ray's hand is on fire, and he seems to be regarding it only with some mild curiosity.]

[This certainly is new. It's not really hurting, so he slowly waves his hand in front of him. Nope. Stays on fire. He's also pretty sure he's not so drunk that he's hallucinating his hand on fire.]

[Jade was stepping in for a drink, because problems of a deep ethical nature always drive him to drink. It's canon. He stops for a moment when he sees that Ray's hand is on fire. Hm. It looks like a fonic arte, but clearly one that the caster doesn't understand how to control. A helpful person might pull Ray aside and try to explain things to him.]

[Jade continues on his way to the bar so he can fix himself up a drink]

Perhaps it's a spirit.

[as if Jade cares. He's just talking while he makes his drink.] It has been known to happen. They usually haunt someone for a week.

[At some point, it may hit him that if Ray really does have new abilities with artes he can't control, Jade should try to help him at least control them before they go wild and kill people, because if Jade doesn't, then he'll be a little bit responsible for what happens. But Jade is still used to thinking like an antisocial callous jackass, so.]
