[Narvin has been spending a bit more time on the Plane than usual, recently. It's difficult to say why -- he may be doing shady CIA business (as per usual), or he may just be using the time advantage the Plane gives him to help fight Gallifrey's civil war. Whatever it is, he finally decides to head back to his reality, and drops from the Plane.

...only to reappear seconds later, looking startled.]

What in Rassilon's--

[He doesn't finish that sentence, but he does drop again. When he returns once more, he's scowling, and there may be just a bit of panic in his eyes.]

Of all the times not to have access to the oubliette. Braxiatel!

[Narvin is getting a change of scenery! Instead of returning to Gallifrey when he drops from the Plane, the Machine has decided to dump him on Braxiatel's Collection for a while. Narvin naturally assumes that this is all Braxiatel's fault, of course.]

[Brax does not seem impressed.] Ah, the shrill cry of the alarm. Better than any warning system I could ever come up with. What is it, Narvin? I'm sure we agreed that dispersing me wasn't in Gallifrey's best interests.

Given that Gallifrey has apparently taken a leave of absence and has been replaced by your precious Collection, I think discussing what is or isn't in the planet's best interest is a bit irrelevant!

[He's a bit angry, yes.]

[Narvin is, as always, adept at ignoring what Brax is saying.]

I've looked up the security footage for an unidentified intruder and found myself looking at a regrettably familiar face. For my sins, very likely.

I hardly had a choice in the matter either. I'm needed on Gallirey, not your asteroid.

Do you think I want you there? And I thought irrationality was an alien trait.

Is it possible to reverse a merger?

Yes, and it's not a merger.

An experiment?

Potentially. I assume it's one about how long it takes before I get fed up with you and send you out into the universe to fend for yourself.

Or a measure of how long it takes me to contact my agents and bring the CIA to your doorstep.

Why, Narvin, that must be the bravest suggestion you've ever made.

Here, there, and everywhere. The CIA's reputation really is underestimated.

[Narvin isn't an idiot; he already knows this situation is not in his favour, but like hell is he going to let Brax know that.]

Is it? I think you'll find I am perfectly willing to arrange that to happen.

I'm sure you are. Now, you better go back. If you're to have any mobility, I'm going to need to issue a visitor's pass for you. And we'll need to have a word with Romana about the situation on Gallifrey.

The CIA isn't interested in Braxiatel's art collection. [Yet.] And I certainly didn't intend on ending up there.

Then perhaps I was a bit too quick with the flattery. My apologies, Coordinator.

She'll need to know where I've stored the supplies and the weapons cache.

[Narvin looks even more displeased at the thought. Transparency? In the CIA? Ha.]

One should always be happy to disclose information to one's President. [He knows exactly how hypocritical he is being. Somehow, that makes it even better.] Of course, I could choose to simply bring her new supplies, eliminating the need for you to reveal where you've hidden things.
