[oliverplus]

[Oliver is sitting at the Astral Bar, a glass of whisky in front of him. actually, there are several glasses, but only that one is still full. he has one hand on it, the other holding a sky blue egg with silver sparkles securely in his lap]

[he picks up the glass, downing quite a bit of it before he sets it back down on the counter. sighs, looking down at the egg morosely] They might just lock me up, too, soon enough. [starts to pick the glass back up]

[but at that moment, as though in response, the egg gives a very loud CRACK. Oliver starts, setting the glass very heavily back down on the counter, spilling a bit. he watches the egg as a huge crack begins to form in its side, growing slowly until, with another CRACK, the egg splits open. it reveals a baby dwarf rabbit, which will look rather like this one when it gets a bit older. for now, it is tiny, its eyes are closed, and it's squirming restlessly. Oliver brings his other hand down, cupping the rabbit between them so it won't fall out of his lap. for the moment, he can only stare at it in awe]

[Kyouya glanced in briefly, but stops to watch the egg hatch.]

Perhaps this one will breathe fire.

[jumps, turning in surprise at the voice. he's still in shock at the idea of having a baby rabbit in his hands] Why would it do that?

I saw another creature produce electricity.

Oh! Yeah, that's--[someone's name he's not supposed to be sharing!]--one I saw, too.

But I think he's just a rabbit... [looks back down at his lap, cradling the tiny creature in his hands]

You'll have to pick out a name for him.

Yeah... [is still staring at the rabbit in disbelief. sorry, Kyouya, he's in some degree of shock. and maybe a little drunk] Do you have one?

In a sense. I think mine is better suited to Tamaki.

[oliverplus]

[glances at him] Really? What name's that?

I haven't selected a name yet, but I thought Tamaki's panda would want company.

[oliverplus]

[blinks] You mean you're giving him yours?

My family prefers not to have pets in our home. Tamaki will take care of it.

[oliverplus]

[frowns] You could keep him on the Plane. Or her. She's yours, you know! [forgive him, he is drunk. in fact, he's not speaking quite as smoothly as he should be]

What sorta animal is he?

I'm sorry if I have distressed you. She is a panda as well.

[raises an eyebrow at that] Just how big is she?

[there's a soft mewling sound coming from the carrier (http://www.petworldshop.com/pictures/leopard-soft-sided-cat-carrier.jpg) Donna's brought into the Astral Bar. she coos at the ragdoll kitten (http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t114/vampwrite/Reality%20Shifted%20Stuff/Donnaskitten-fromflickrroxeteer.png) within as she heads on over, but she frowns when she sees all those empty glasses. props a hand on her hip after she's set the carrier down on top of the bar]

I hope you were sharing with someone. [as stern as she sounds, she's only truly concerned about this.] Or, oh no, don't tell me. You can't talk again. It's not that, is it?

[Oliver looks up at her, still awed at the baby creature in his hands. but he winces when he feels her concern, quickly dropping his gaze to look at her kitten instead] I can talk.

She's beautiful!

She's still very small right now. Small enough to have come out of one of those eggs.

And Tamaki's got one, too? Wow. Guess that's lucky. Maybe they'll be happier together. But you should visit her!

[looks back down at the creature in his hands. grabs the end of his jacket, trying to wrap him up a bit]

[Excuse me, sir, but you're drunk.]

[gives Kyouya a look. it's not as even as he would like] I've gotta take care of him.

Oh good. I wasn't really looking forward to another one-way conversation again.

[she smiles warmly] She's an absolute darling, even if she was hatched out of an egg. Your little one looks too precious, too.

Of course. But we are not at our best in caretaking when we're tired.

[oliverplus]

[stubborn] I can't just leave him alone. [is carefully holding him as he attempts to remove his jacket so he can wrap him up properly]

[laughs weakly] Nah, you don't have to worry about that.

[looks back down at the rabbit, still rather dazed at its unexpected existence, which probably isn't helped by all the whisky he's had] Yeah...I think he is. He's tiny...

[Oh, that's worrying. Not the egg part, but the whiskey part. Sirkka approaches slowly, radiating wave upon wave of warmth. She smiles down at the rabbit, and very pointedly reaches over to take the glass and move it further down the bar.]
