{The man that suddenly appears on the Plane is gripping a whistle in his hands--there's no coat or pockets to stuff it in that it wouldn't be ridiculously uncomfortable in, so he had to opt for holding it. But now it looks like he might snap it due to suddenly appearing on the Plane}

{He drops to the floor at the sudden vertigo, but manages to not puke. Just barely. But after regaining his composure, he tries again, attempting to laugh it off}

Okay, okay, some weird black magic bullshit, nothing I haven't seen before. No, that's a lie, I've never seen anything like this before. Christ, Juliet, whatever I did, it's not bad enough to warrant sending me to another dimension where I'm about to lose my lunch on a supernova.

{He pauses, like he will, but sighs and stands, holding the whistle more tightly}

Well, seeing as I'm not about to puke all over this nice not-floor, I'll settle for anyone that'll direct me back to London, please.

Welcome to the Astral Plane! I'm Oliver. [waves as he steps over to him, giving him a friendly smile and wondering if he's about to get blasted with confusion by making eye contact. he's starting to get used to that now]

[laughs as well] Well, it is now, but it wasn't when I first got here! I guess you get used to it.

When you first got here? That implies that you can come and go, to which I ask, why come back? This is just--I don't even know. Bizarre.

You can! But to be honest, we're not sure if home is real, but...that's a long story.

I've heard the Plane brings you back if you try to stay away, but I've never been gone that long. There are a lot of people here, so there are all sorts of opportunities you don't have at home! That's why I stay here, anyway.

Christ, and you're alright with that? That would be serious black magic, or even worse, Doctor Who. And I'm guessing you're not seeing all the friends just floating around here, either, or else you would be more distressed. I have to say, you'd be the most cheerful cop I've met, if that's it.

[looks around like he's expecting to see something] Really?

[stops, realising this is probably not a good first impression to be making. takes a deep breath, trying to calm down] Look, sorry. I just...wasn't expecting that.

Didn't give it. Felix Castor. {He doesn't offer his hands, but twirls the whistle in his hands as he thinks about it. He'll have to be careful playing his whistle here if people are not-quite-dead. Scratch the Doctor Who reference, it's starting to sound like Python at this rate.}

Nice to meet you, Felix. Sorry, I wish the circumstances could be a bit better. [looks a bit sheepish, but it's really just an attempt at normality when he's still very worried about Felix's revelation]

I don't think I really can. I mean...basically, if you die on the Plane, you wake back up in the Twins' lab afterwards. You met the Twins, right? Anyway, I've got no idea how that actually works, but it's what happens.

And I wish that this is all some weird dream, since I'm prone to those. Christ, I would settle for this being one of Juliet's pranks. I would say "that bitch," but if I meant it, that would mean more of this and worse, so no thanks.

And I met some twins, yeah. I thought they were just especially eccentric ghosts, is all. There's weirder shops in London. That was all a part of this?

[raises an eyebrow] Does she take you to weird places often?

No, they're the ones who run things here. Mostly. Them and Meredith. I think they're the ones running the experiment we're all part of.

She's a succubus. That's really all I need to say about that.

{He runs a hand through his hair again before setting it against his mouth} And, again I ask, you're okay with that? I would definitely not be okay with that. I mean, the ghosts just floating around here, they're not even talking or interacting with each other or anything. That's bad news.

[not the answer he was expecting] Oh. Uh...okay.

No way! 'Course I'm not okay with it. We're trying to find a way out; we just haven't done it. Yet.

[frowns; curiously] What do you mean? What are they like?

"We?" Who's we? Just how many people are there here? Are they all like you?

{But he shakes his head} They're all different, just like people, of course. But usually ghosts interact with something--They're anchored somewhere, they gravitate towards me, since they know I can see them, something. But they're just floating around, not even interacting with each other. They're only like that when they've recently...started existing, to put it politely. But some of them, they're old, I can tell. Something is wrong with them.

Maybe like...I dunno, 50 or 60? And no, definitely not! Only those of us who've died, I guess.

Just how many ghosts are there?

This place worries me more than a bit. But that's less than I was expecting, honestly, so that's good, I guess. I dunno about the ghosts, though. Maybe about that number? Or more.

Oooookay, that's weird. Even for the Plane.

Well...uh...what else do you wanna know about this place? [is trying really hard to go back into cheerful helping!mode] It's really not that bad. Usually.
