[Cally stands in the middle of the Plane, a letter held in one hand and a wry smile on her face - it's a good thing that she's philosophical about death; this makes it a awful lot easier.]

Ai Haibara? Do you think we need to talk about this or don't you want to? I fully understand if you want to avoid me.

Satoshi, River? I'd rather like to talk to you too; just to say a few things.

[Somehow her voice sounds slightly older than it usually does; and her accent has faded away - she doesn't really see the need for it anymore]

[River has that puzzled half-smile on her face when she sees Cally, as she often does, but apparently this time Cally isn't surrounded by the infectious halo of happiness as usual. It fades into confusion.]

[Cally glances across at her for a second ever so fondly; then sighs and opens her arms in a mild order]

[ It couldn't be helped. The idea was too humorous for the girl to hold back the laugh as she smiled rather strangely for a child. ] That defeats the purpose of a death-match.

Shhh, shh - I have to go; there's no choice in the matter.

I have no desire to kill anyone. [ A small lie, but it really only applies to one person who will -hopefully- never come to the Astral Plane or for her to ever meet again for that matter. ]
