[The Doctor, oblivious to the resistance his self is organising, is sitting on the Plane with a cup of tea. He's glad he seems to be alone, for the moment, because he has plenty to ~~brood~~ think about -- and thinking is a bit difficult when your mind's in a drugged haze. Again.

This time, he's chosen the Plane's snow-covered hills for his recovery spot, though he doesn't seem bothered by the snow, or the cold.]

{From behind the Doctor,} It was you that was there, wasn't it?

[he blinks, startled out of his thoughts, and turns to face her] Diva? ...How did you -- no, hang on. It was the blood, yeah?

Ne, I don't think so. I thought I heard you there, but I didn't want to think about it.

['sup Doctor, River is wearing a coat because she is smart. Sometimes. And she's eying your tea.

And does not seem entirely pleased.]

You're falling into a pattern.

[b'aww, Diva. Nine glances down at the snow.] I'm sorry. You alright, though? Didn't get to see how things turned out.

[defensively] Just 'cause it happened twice doesn't make it a pattern.

Not really.

{She walks over and sits next to the Doctor, drawing her fingers through the snow and making patterns}

You're not cold, are you? I like the cold, but it's not the same for you.

It's the beginning of a statistical trend.

[STERNLY.]

You want to talk about it?

[he shakes his head at the question] A bit of snow's nothing after you've clung to an iceberg. I'll be alright.

{Ignoring the first question} An iceberg? Why were you clinging to that?

[he won't pry, then -- at least, not at the moment] Ever heard of the Titanic?

Oh, that was that big boat that crashed, right? In the 1910s, I think. I don't know much about it.

April 14th, 1912. I was there; convinced a family to cancel their trip, and I got myself a ticket. ...Blimey, that was ages ago. Didn't even know what I looked like back then.

I'm not really surprised. It sounds like something you would do.

[smiles a bit] I do enjoy a good bit of disaster tourism. Maybe I ought to treat myself when all this is over.

Is not. [he can be a brat too]

[RIVER CAN BE WAY BRATTIER THAN YOU.]

Why do you like to do that? Is it fun?

It's fantastic, even when it's terrifying. Especially then, I think.

Oh, really? What other sorts of places have you been, then?

I've been all over the place! Earth's still my favourite, though. Humans are amazing.

Tell me about some of your adventures on Earth, then. It's the only place I know.

[he takes another moment to think -- he's still a bit fuzzy. The tea helps, though.] After I regenerated, I saw Kennedy’s assassination, sailed on the Titanic and wound up clinging to an iceberg, washed up on the coast of Sumatra after Krakatoa exploded in 1883 -- mind you I had absolutely nothing to do with that, saw World War 5 and the fall of Troy, and pushed boxes at the Boston Tea Party. And all that was before I ever even peeked in a mirror.
