[There is a coin operated boy sitting on the Plane. Well, he isn't coin operated but a few people might know he's a statue now. Either way, he seems oblivious to everything around him. He has one of his sleeves rolled up and is examining his arm, which doesn't look quite human and has tiny cracks running down it. With a slight frown, he runs his hand over them but nothing happens.

After a moment he just sighs and tugs the sleeve down.]

[Have a curious looking Cally standing at a distance and tilting her head]

...Are ya alright?

[He looks up and shakes his head.] My repairs were inadequate.

[The kit should be familiar to Argentine. It caries sculptor's tools, the handles decorated in whorls and wings. It's wrapped in a soft fabric, held together by leather strips wound into an ornate cross. It's three hundred years old, passed down across the generations. Satoshi kneels at Argentine's side, opening up the kit and laying it out at Argentine's side.]

[Wordless, Satoshi takes Argentine's arm and a tool from the kit. He pushes up Argentine's sleeve and begins to repair the cracks.]

[A pause as she considers this; then edges closer - tilting her head as if trying trying to smell something...]

Hm, that's a bit odd - best to ask if she doesn't know!] ...Did ya die?

[Argentine is silent for a long while, head bowed as he allows Satoshi to fix him. When he finally does speak, he sounds somewhat sad.]

I'm sorry I failed you.

You didn't fail me.

[He inspects Argentine for any other flaws in his reconstruction]

[He nods.] I was broken, yes. I don't think the people here know enough to reconstruct me.

The areas where the acid hit still have cracks. [He feels he can at least make Satoshi's job easier.]

But I thought I did fail you. You allowed me to defend myself and yet I still couldn't survive. That is what you said about me. I wasn't meant to last long.

Neither am I.

[With Argentine's information, Satoshi continues his work. He is very careful, and very precise. Reconstruction is one thing he can do easily and without guilt.]

[He frowns and reaches out, holding onto Satoshi's shirt sleeve. His grip is tight and childish, as though he doesn't want Satoshi to go anywhere.]

I still failed. Even though I am complete, unlike Kokuyoku, I still am incapable.

[Cally looks outraged; her personal "dead people are not puppets" code is deeply hurt by this!] Well, that ain't nice at all!

[The outrage surprises him and he blinks at her.] I wouldn't expect them to repair me at all. It is enough that I exist again.

Yup, still pouting here] If they're gonna kill you in the first place they might as well put you back together in a nice way.

Perhaps they are not artists. Though I agree, it is bothersome to have so many cracks.

[As uncomfortable as he is with touch, Satoshi doesn't pull away.]

I didn't recreate you for battle. It isn't your purpose.

[He keeps his hold, relaxing somewhat.]

They are still stronger.

They steal and they kill. You don't.

[In other words, Satoshi much prefers Argentine to the two of them.]

[After a long pause.] Your name is Satoshi.

[a bit of a pause]

Hiwatari Satoshi. Yes.

[He nods.] I only have ever known your family as Creator.

There was no reason for you to know us by another name.

Would you rather I forgot it?

I think a fair few folk are artists deep down, they just have to look for it.

...I dunno if I can help with that.

[...what an odd suggestion]

No. It doesn't matter.

[He nods slowly.] Then yours is the only name I have known. [Still curious.] Do you regret allowing me to fight?
