Trick 02

[Harry isn't always the most attentive of individuals. As a result, he hasn't been the most attentive member of the Plane, and seems to have only recently remember of its existence. Not much time has passed in his reality: he still has a bandaged hand, and thanks to the missing finger he's still a bit hopped up on Demerol.

He's standing in his hotel room in his gray hoody and old jeans, ruffling through his pockets. What he pulls out is about half a dozen cheap plastic lighters, several packs of gum, some small trinkets, and finally a bag of chocolate coins. He lays all of this out on the table in front of him, seeming torn between being pleased with himself and upset, but finally just sighs and pushes it all aside, muttering to himself]
Fucking Chook Chutney, had to go and sleep with Harmony.

[In a mocking tone] He looked sad! [Then once again, in his regular voice, though his tone is bitter] So does a cut finger get you a hand job?

[So, Merlin really don't know what any of that means but guy muttering bitterly to himself does bring concern. The whole finger being missing thing is the biggest concern and Merlin reasons this is what is upsetting him.]

Do you need help with that? Your, uh, hand. I know a physician.

I haven't heard of that but you'll want to take care of that. It could get infected.

[identity profile] behindhiswords.livejournal.com 2010-07-12 08:20 am (UTC)(link)
...They shot you?

[identity profile] madamemoiselle.livejournal.com 2010-07-12 04:33 pm (UTC)(link)
...Ne, I don't think it does, no.

[identity profile] madamemoiselle.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, did you miss your chance for one?

[identity profile] madamemoiselle.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
How sad for you. Ne, but not thank you. I don't like to eat things like that.

[identity profile] madamemoiselle.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, thank you, but I don't...really eat.

[identity profile] madamemoiselle.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
Not at all! I've never been to that part of the world. I mean, that's in the US, right?

[identity profile] madamemoiselle.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, yes! I met a few people from California when I was living in New York City. They were nice, though, I thought...

But it's not like I don't eat on...purpose. Not like what you mean, anyways. I don't eat human food, since it doesn't really matter.

[identity profile] madamemoiselle.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
{Nods} It was nice enough. I liked living in Europe more, but the mansion my Chevalier and I lived in was lovely. I wish I could go back, but I really like it in France more.

[identity profile] madamemoiselle.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
{She nods in the direction of the mansion}

Well, then you're welcome to go in my house here whenever you like. Just...don't mess it up too much. I'm really only just learning how to do things like cleaning and fixing things.

[identity profile] madamemoiselle.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
{She shrugs} It's just an offer, if you ever feel like luxury. It's not bad, but I wouldn't stay there, I don't think.

[identity profile] behindhiswords.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 04:18 am (UTC)(link)
[Sorry he's still staring.] ...So they shot you. I'm not sure how that would actually help, unless you wanted to bleed more.

[identity profile] behindhiswords.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 08:36 am (UTC)(link)
[Harry's insistence makes Merlin believe him and be horrified.] That's sort of barbaric, isn't it? It doesn't sound science based to me. Even going to a practitioner of magic would be a better idea.

[identity profile] madamemoiselle.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 04:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, it's not quite as luxurious as I'm used to, is all.

[identity profile] behindhiswords.livejournal.com 2010-07-14 09:55 am (UTC)(link)
Arrow, actually. Or a lance. There's only so many things you can shoot someone with.

[identity profile] madamemoiselle.livejournal.com 2010-07-14 03:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I am. But I was really successful with opera for a while, and my...family was all very rich, and I ended up inheriting it when they died.

[identity profile] behindhiswords.livejournal.com 2010-07-19 08:49 am (UTC)(link)
...No idea what that is, sorry.

[identity profile] madamemoiselle.livejournal.com 2010-07-19 03:10 pm (UTC)(link)
And all around the world. London, Vienna, Munich, Moscow, Paris, Hanoi. Lots of places.

[identity profile] madamemoiselle.livejournal.com 2010-07-20 08:18 pm (UTC)(link)
France, just in the wine countryside. It got to be too much, so I wanted to relax.

[identity profile] behindhiswords.livejournal.com 2010-07-21 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
Not really. I don't think you mean for mending clothes.

[identity profile] behindhiswords.livejournal.com 2010-07-23 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Erm, no. We use draughts? And potions, elixirs... that sort of thing. Things made of herbs.
