I need to bring this...thing back from the past. I had a videotape in mind, but almost anything connected to this one guy would be fine. C'mon, help me out here. ...Please?

{He pauses for a moment, then adds} --Uh. Sorry about the language. I guess. We don't have any young kids here, do we? Not like Rani's age, anyways

Nah, it's not. But time travel can't be that different between universes, can it? I mean, basic rules like don't mess with history, and that kind of stuff.

Even the basic rules in our universe are complicated; there are fixed points in time, things that can't be changed, but the rest is always in flux. Do you know if the man you're attempting to take something from is part of an important historical event?

Really? Huh. It seems backwards, but whatever, I'm not going to comment on an alien species. Every time I do that, it gets me in trouble in some way or another.

{He offers his hand} Name's Booster, Doctor. Booster Gold. Former Justice League member, which is why I'm trying to sneak back in there to grab something. But...uh. It's a group of superheroes, basically. We save the world, universe, flavor of the day, whatever comes up.

[amused] No, time machines aren't my specialty; I'm a security technician. Generally I monitor the Matrix, but occasionally my work involves TARDISes. I constructed a new time rotor for the Doctor's, for example -- one without a recall circuit, so he couldn't be summoned back to Gallifrey against his will. [never mind that it wasn't exactly part of his job description]

Simply put, I suppose you could say my fascination with time travel technology is more of a hobby than anything else. I don't get the opportunity to work with it nearly as much as I'd like. And I don't own any myself, unfortunately.
