10][And tomorrow we'll be more aware.

[ Well now, someone seems to have forgotten the fact that occasionally visiting the Astral Plane can be a very good thing. It can do wonders for the busy and trouble conscious-- which is why a certain blond-haired Time Lord can now be seen on the Plane.

Or, to be more precise, the Lady Romana can be discovered leaning back in an empty seat of the vacant theater. Upon first observation she appears to be tired with her quiet expression and exhausted look in her eyes. The Presidential robes had been forsaken for a set of simplier ones.

She doesn't say anything but it's quite obvious that there is much on her mind. Which was why she finally took the time to come here and think.

Asides from the somewhat noticeable change in wardrobe, there is a significant change to be noted. However, it is unfortunately unnoticeable to the eye. One that not even the lady in question is aware of. But should anyone decide to have a little discussion with the Time Lord as she twists a ring on her index finger back and forth, perhaps a clue or two could be divulged. ]

[Narvin, though he had expected it at some point, is still surprised to see his President on the Plane. Ever observant, he notes the ring on her finger -- it matches his own, and a another worn by the good Commander Hallan.]

Madame President?

Ah, no, my Lady. Not now.

[ooc: No worries! He gave them out as soon as he went back, so it was a reasonable assumption. :)]

[And where there's a Madame President, there ought to be a Time Lord of some sort, even if this one is a renegade and hasn't actually met ROmana yet.

Sigh. Timelines.

At any rate, she happens to have wandered into the theatre for reasons of her own, and drops into a seat somewhat nearby.]

There never seems to be anything good on.

Nearly a month, Gallifrey relative time. [He seems on the verge of saying something else, but changes his mind, lacing his hands behind his back.]

[Hello, Romana! Have another Doctor, who's looking rather awkward. He debates approaching for a moment, then steps forward.] ...You alright, Romana?

[Braxiatel walks in with Benny, discussing Indiana Jones] —watch The Last Crusade to warn you off exceptionally well-dressed blondes on your quest to find me the—

[And then he sees Romana—and more importantly, the ring she is wearing. The ring that matches his. In a few long, sharp steps that pay no mind to Bernice and her ability to keep pace, he is at his President's side.]

Romana? [His voice is quieter than usual. The next thing he said is only half a joke. He knows the chances of it being more than just an expression.] Madame President. You look like you've been in the wars.

[and Benny was about to interrupt Brax's speech when Brax went and did the job himself] Brax! What the hell are you --

[but he's all ready out of ear shot, so she stops herself. She debates between jogging over to see what the big deal is or walking deliberately slow. She makes a compromise and walks over quickly.]

[said to herself, but in a stage whisper so Brax can hear]
Perhaps you might want to take your own bloody advice about well-dressed blondes.

[Benny stops as she catches up with Brax. Romana looks oddly familiar to her. Like a portrait sitting on the corner of a desk somewhere, nearly hidden under paperwork but always there. She clears her throat, awkward, and looking between the two] Are you going to introduce me to your friend, Irving, or...

[identity profile] practicalrobes.livejournal.com 2010-06-26 06:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. So well-kept that you failed to mention it in the slightest. How long have you known about this place, Madame?

[identity profile] charmandsmiles.livejournal.com 2010-06-26 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
[The Doctor can sympathize with that being tired thing. He offers her a half-smile back.] Anything I can do to help? Can't guarantee I'll be of much use at the mo', but I could do with a distraction.

Yes, very likely.

[They can MST3K it! A couple of aliens mocking Earth theatre, it'd be great!]

Still, it could be worse.

[softly] I had thought you were out of it.

[It occurs to him that this could be another Romana, one from an earlier point in time. But he also remembers what he did to Benny - dragging her back to his history, his relative time.]

[If Narvin has pulled the President back into this, Braxiatel shall have some very particular words with him.]

[He draws away, straightens up, settles on a neutral expression somewhere between the half-amused distance that Benny always gets and the loyalty he reserves for Romana.]

Yes. Of course. Forgive me. Benny, this is the Lady Romanadvoratrelundar, President of the Supreme Council of Gallifrey and all of her Dominions. Madame President, this is Professor Bernice Summerfield, Head of Archaeology at the Braxiatel Collection.

[identity profile] practicalrobes.livejournal.com 2010-06-26 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)
[with his usual irritated sigh]

Very well. It was irresponsible, but that wasn't why I was asking. When I arrived here, I was informed that you were further along Galllifrey's time line than I.

[identity profile] practicalrobes.livejournal.com 2010-06-26 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. I was lead to believe that you were far further along than this civil war. Further along than Braxiatel, even.

[He looks vaguely disappointed, but nods. After a long moment;] Romana...what do you remember, from when you were my companion? What sort of things did we do?
