[it's been a while, Plane, but Lucy's back and sitting on the outskirts of that little forest that was brought here quite some time ago. she isn't really paying attention to her surroundings, focused instead on her hands. the ground around her is littered with what looks like pieces of leaves.

oh wait, no. those are butterflies. oops.

Lucy doesn't really seem to care about the carnage, instead still staring at her fingers, each digit stained red. then she starts laughing -- that unhinged, lost-sounding laugh she had when she first came to the Plane

[Oh... dear. The Doctor's taking the softly-softly approach to this, because Lucy's very clearly unhinged and that's... not good.

And she's also very careful to not step on the... leaves, so as not to make too much sound. Three's a little too focused on the woman sitting there to really realize what they actually are.

Very softly:] Hello?

[Hey look, seems the crazy is something they both have an abundance of. The Master wanders over and cants his head at the scene and then at Lucy as she begins to laugh.]

Taking up finger painting?

Oh dear...Ne, what's wrong, Lucy?

I remember them being prettier when I did this before. Why aren't they pretty, Master?

[Hope you don't mind dogs, Lucy. There's a very large, very underfed one sniffing at the butterflies. He attempts to nom some of them, but dead butterflies aren't very tasty. Or filling, for that matter. So he glances at Lucy, instead, barely resisting the urge to shift back into his human form and make a comment about how she'd get on with his cousins.

Sirius, unlike some people, does not have a death wish. Most of the time, anyway.]

[she's neither for or against, dogs, really, though she's surprised to see one on the Plane]

When did you get here?

[yep, she's definitely lost it, talking to a dog]

[It can be!]

You've done this before? [at something of a loss for how to approach this.] What made them so pretty to you then?

[Padfoot barks once, as if to answer her question, and wags his tail]

We used to go out together, don't you remember? [of course he wouldn't] But they looked so much brighter then. It made me happy to watch them squirm. Why isn't it working now?

[ohgoodness, barking dog]

Well, aren't you a big boy. Do you like butterflies, too? [aand reaches out to pet him]

[and now he's shaking his head -- he's not a fan of the butterflies. But he does lick her fingers in return for the petting, cleaning off the blood]

[Pretty much.

She keeps the calm, even tone, to avoid startling her.]

I'm the Doctor.

[...Countdown in three, two, one...]

[fft, he is in no way qualified for this.] Things change.

[oh hey, she knows that name!]

What do you want?

[I agree with fa-chan: he totes needs to give her therapy] Well they can stop.

[she giggles] That tickles, you know.

To help. [Probably. She always does seem to.] Can I?

All right. [She seems to take that in her stride. And isn't really leaving yet.]

How quaint. A Doctor who doesn't recognise me. [gives Three a droll look. she doesn't care she hasn't met you yet or that you're female: she hates Three all ready]

Lucy. Lucy Saxon. Charmed, I'm sure.

[I'm all for it. :D] Well I suppose while you're busy letting everything know that it needs to fall into line behind you, you'll let this business of a faulty resurrection know that it can come back at a later time when I'm more prepared.
