[Ianto is in the middle of taking notes on a clipboard when he appears. He doesn't seem to realise were he is for a few moments, and when he looks up the surprise on his face his clear.]

Ah. Well, it would seem the Twins aren't quite as finished with me as I'd thought.

If this is a repeat of the other August, I won't be best pleased. Can't think of any other time I've been dragged here without wanting to be.

[He sighs, tapping his pen on the clipboard then slipping it inside his suit jacket.]

Still. At least it isn't my birthday this time, I suppose...

[ooc; Experiment start! If being stuck on the Plane for two weeks doesn't kick him into activity, I don't know what will.

It seems a lovely place to be on one's birthday. At least one is rewarded with beautiful scenery instead of some place ugly, like a prison or a lecture hall.

It means the stars were out. So we were stuck here in total darkness, besides torches.

I didn't know the stars could go out, at least not all at once. Did they get new ones?

They don't, usually. I don't think they are real stars, though.

If they were, I imagine it would have taken quite a bit longer to get enough new ones.

[There's a wandering Scotsman, playing with with a wooden paddle ball toy that he's found somewhere, and really not paying too much attention. That is, until he happens to catch part of that conversation.]

Och, ye mean Oliver was right and the Plane does drag ye back here?

[Jamie was really kind of hoping that he had been wrong about that.]

[He is kind of annoyed about being dragged here when he didn't want to be, but... Well, it's not the Scotsmans fault.]

It's not as if it happens all the time, though. Some people never come back. And the last time I ended up here without meaning to was nearly two years ago now.

[While it's possible Jamie could be blamed for a lot of things, this one wouldn't be it. Especially since he has absolutely no idea who this man in the suit is. Jamie is rather more roughly dressed.]

Oh. That's not so bad, then. Although ye said something about being pulled here on your birthday, aye?

[From his expression, he doesn't think being here is such a great way to spend a birthday. Or maybe he just looks this way normally. Who knows?]

As they've no troubles at all in dragging in people from the far ends of the universes, I don't see why it would be very difficult to grab new stars and galaxies. It must work the same way.

[Oh, good. Someone who agrees with him. He doesn't even mind Jamie's appearance, really. At least he's an improvement on Archie up at Torchwood Glasgow, the only other Scotsman Ianto usually has dealings with.]

I did. Everyone was pulled here that time. I don't think I'd have minded so much really, except we had to spend the whole time in total darkness as well.

Not really. I just fell out of the habit.

[They're going to be there being wry all day, aren't they?] No. Most people don't. Although when it comes to the Plane, it's usually a safe bet that someone's from somewhere fairly volatile. It doesn't seem to attract the laymen quite so often.
