...Right, so why do I have to do this?

{Booster just appears carrying a rather odd looking sphere. It's shimmering from the inside, like there was a faulty television screen in there, but as soon as he sets it down, an image appears in it, which then creates a hologram of Arkham Asylum. Not that many people would recognize it, but.}

Okay, so, this is probably going to be kind of weird and reminiscent of a safety brief, but bear with me; it's important, I swear. So, hopefully you all know about the different universes stuff, because if you don't...I don't want to know how you'd explain this away. Anyways, where Peej--uh, Power Girl and I come from, we're part of a sometimes loose association of super heroes. So no questions about the costume, okay? The point is, while there are super heroes, there's definitely villains. Problem is, there's a handful of them that get to come here that come from this place {He gestures to the hologram} which is basically our most notorious insane asylum.

{The hologram shows Eddie first, in his horrible green spandex outfit} So first up, we have Edward Nigma or I think he used Nashton once, too. His alias is the Riddler. He's in the running for worst costume ever, along with Chronos. I think the Riddler is best known for being a pain in the---Okay, he uses riddles. Enough said.

{Now Dr. Crane!} Dr. Jonathan Crane, also known as Scarecrow, is probably the one you need to watch out for the most, since he's almost assuredly to blame for a recent incident. He's a former psychiatrist that messes with your head, but he also uses chemicals of his own invention that draw out the worst fears in people. He also looks like a stick.

{And Harley} Then last from our world is Dr. Harleen Quinzel, if she's still a doctor, I don't know. Her alias is Harley Quinn, and her...thing is using pranks, practical jokes, bad jokes as weapons. That came from a guy who luckily isn't here named the Joker, but she's dangerous in her own right.

{Then a really big question mark} And Power Girl also tells me that there's a fourth inmate here who isn't native to our world. Dr. Arkham said her "name" is Diva, and that she believes that she's a vampire, but he's not quite sure if that's true or not. Any extra information on her would be great. Especially a picture, because I didn't know it was just going to come up as a big question mark.

Anyways, it's better for everybody if you stay away from these four. Chances are, we shouldn't have any problems, but just in case any arise, we're both equipped to deal with them. Oh, and if you know anyone else that could be considered suspicious or dangerous, we'd be very interested to hear about them, too.

So, if you have any questions, feel free to ask me, Booster Gold, or Power Girl. You'll know when you see her because of her awesome boobs.

...Don't tell her I said that.

[ ... Sefton is really missing the days where people magnets and breathing item finders were all the weirdness he had to deal with. Sigh. ]

Seriously?

[Oh hey, that second one looks familiar... she frowns.]

Um, excuse me... Can you tell me anything else about Dr. Crane?

Think you said enough for all of us.

A public broadcast on villains? How heroic of you. So sad that Dietrich isn't here to be added to the list. [a pause] No, he'd be insulted if anyone managed to find him out. Do you have a real name, Gold?

if Dietrich was back, they could burn this place down

Heroes rarely are. [glancing at him] Spandex, though. That's... interesting. Trust a Time Lord, though. Your Diva is definitely a vampire. I keep wondering if any of the vampire hunters will try to kill her, but if Omega and Straxus won't do it, none of my kind will. Where are you from, Hero Extraordinaire?

so, never?

Dr Arkham? I think I heard someone screaming for his reckoning the other week.

[now this sparks his interest] A time-traveller? What year are you from?

that would be a very weird dream

[identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com 2010-02-05 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
No, but I know the boy and he's a moron. I wasn't interested.

I didn't know humans had time travel technology by then. Parallel universes again. [pause and a grimace] Though I really don't think you're ready for it then. God, look at what 52st century humans do. "I can go back in time and shag Madame de Pompadour!"

On second thought, maybe it isn't just a human thing. But they don't use names like 'Booster Gold' in the 25th century, do they?

Yeah? [ blink ] ... what, should I scream 'r something?

[he takes this all in with earnest silence, though his eyes narrow when Diva is mentioned; he waits until Booster is finished, though, to speak]

Diva is certainly a vampire, and Arkham would do well to treat her like one. He's starving her. [if he sounds pissed off, this is because he is] ...She's not a monster. She's just been treated like one for a very long time. If she's in a bad state, it would be best to just...leave, or immobilise her if you need to. [intently] Painlessly.

[...and then a smile] Thank you for the information. Of course, for all we truly know, you're one of the villains. [constant vigilance!]

[Her frown deepens, but she nods.]

Alright. Thank you. [She considers just walking off, but after hesitating a moment, she figures it's worth asking.] What if... someone's already been talking to him? A lot?

[ Slightly amused lipquirk here as he looks away for a moment. ] Dunno 'bout questions, but I met Diva 'while ago. ... She brought a ballroom here.

[She nods.] That's right, Emil. [Now, she looks even more worried.] I didn't know that he was so dangerous, but now that I do... I should go talk to him, too. Maybe I can make him listen.
