[Brigitta does still not really get the concept of snow- it is white, it is fluffy, it does not appear to burn things or suddenly turn into giant monsters to fight. thus it makes absolutely no sense in her head; she cannot fight it or drink with it and it does not behave like normal sensible weather in any way, how perplexing.

So, she'll be standing in the snow with her sword out, looking rather puzzled... And trying to catch the snow with her sword in a rather clumsy way that looks rather like she's stabbing the air; because she's fun like that
]

...It makes no sense, bah.

[...Anybody want to introduce her to snowball fights?]

[...Well, that's all kinds of strange. Jim happens to be wandering by, wrapped in a comfy Starfleet-issue jacket. And by comfy, we mean warm. Same diff.]

Is something wrong?

[identity profile] kirk-it.livejournal.com 2009-12-29 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
That it is.

[She raises her eyebrows, all amused-like.] I'm afraid it's not very easy to skewer with a sword.

[identity profile] kirk-it.livejournal.com 2009-12-29 09:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Mostly, it gathers on the ground, and then -

[She scoops up a ball of snow in her hands. and rests it in them for a moment, as if weighing it.] - you can do this.

[And lets fly! Aiming for her sword, to ease her into things.]

[identity profile] kirk-it.livejournal.com 2009-12-29 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Not a very good one. But when I was a kid, we used to have snowball fights, for fun. And if there's enough coating the ground on a hill, you can slide down it on a sled.
oliverplus: (What?)

[Oliver is exploring the plane and enjoying the snow, and he can't help but notice the woman stabbing a sword at the air and muttering to herself] Hey, you okay? [steps over toward her, trying to figure out what she's stabbing at] Is there something in the snow?

[identity profile] hostclubdaddy.livejournal.com 2009-12-30 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
I would think you'd like the snow a lot. The stark whiteness of the snow compliments the rich dark colour of your hair really well. You're like a vision of a fairy tale princess, Snow White come to life.

[identity profile] kirk-it.livejournal.com 2009-12-30 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
No, you can't.

[Well, yes, if you tried really hard, but Jim doesn't approve of that use.]
oliverplus: (Listening)

[personal profile] oliverplus 2009-12-31 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
[jumps back a bit when she turns; couldn't she have lowered that sword a little sooner!? and frowns at her words as that was an unexpectedly vague response] Did something attack you?

[identity profile] hostclubdaddy.livejournal.com 2009-12-31 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Your beauty stands out in all environments, I'm sure, but the snow especially illuminates your purity. I'm sure your heart is just as pure and true as your beauty.
oliverplus: (Huh?)

[personal profile] oliverplus 2010-01-02 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
The...what? Snow shouldn't do that. [uncertainly] Was there something in the snow, maybe?

[identity profile] kirk-it.livejournal.com 2010-01-02 08:07 pm (UTC)(link)
[Not very, no, because she sees it coming and ducks. But!]

That's it! Just pack it in a little tighter.

[identity profile] kirk-it.livejournal.com 2010-01-04 09:40 pm (UTC)(link)
That kind of difference.
oliverplus: (Looking)

[personal profile] oliverplus 2010-01-04 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
[he's trying to understand, anyway. raises an eyebrow at her] Well, yeah. That's what snow does--it falls. But it doesn't hurt. Or, at least, it shouldn't.

[identity profile] hostclubdaddy.livejournal.com 2010-01-04 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Demons?

[sorry, he is distracted by this demon talk]

Like Namahage?
oliverplus: (Evasive)

[personal profile] oliverplus 2010-01-06 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Uh...snow isn't alive. It can't control, you know, existing. It's just weather. [hopeful--she has to have had some weather experiences before] Like rain?

[identity profile] hostclubdaddy.livejournal.com 2010-01-07 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
Namahage are demons in Japan who come looking for bad children. They have a red face and horns and fangs and scary eyes! If you're very bad the Namahage will come and take you away! They are fierce and terrifying!
oliverplus: (Well)

[personal profile] oliverplus 2010-01-07 10:23 pm (UTC)(link)
[okay, different angle!] But it also means stabbing at it isn't really...doing anything.

[personal profile] oliverplus 2010-01-08 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Uh...does it look like it's doing anything?
oliverplus: (Well)

[personal profile] oliverplus 2010-01-09 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
[opens his mouth to protest, but she actually has a point with that one] Yeah, maybe. But until we find out for sure, wouldn't it be safer not to slash your sword around constantly? I mean, what if somebody appeared here?
oliverplus: (Oliver - Plotting)

[personal profile] oliverplus 2010-01-10 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)
[this is not working at all. let's try a distraction!] Okay, uh... You know, I haven't got your name yet! I'm Oliver. Nice to meet you...?
oliverplus: (Well)

[personal profile] oliverplus 2010-01-11 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, nice to meet you, Brigitta.

You know, if the snow's being troublesome, we could go inside somewhere.
oliverplus: (Skeptical)

[personal profile] oliverplus 2010-01-12 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
[gives her an odd look. he really can't figure her out at all] If we thought like that all the time, nobody'd ever go inside! And...there are more weapons in most places, if a monster did come?
oliverplus: (Huh?)

[personal profile] oliverplus 2010-01-14 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
[he's starting to work that out] Not all the time! But the indoors can be good, too, you know. Especially if you're...being attacked by snow. [he realises how lame that sounds as he says it, but at least she's his only audience]

[blinks] You mean your sword?
oliverplus: (Huh?)

[personal profile] oliverplus 2010-01-16 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
...really? [that makes him a little nervous, actually] How many have you got?
oliverplus: (Well)

[personal profile] oliverplus 2010-01-19 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
[yeah, that's even scarier] Uh...both? Either?
