[have a Walking Talking Hand, idly walking through the library, picking up a book every now and then to glance at it, and then moving along to something else when he loses interest. He's also absently flipping over the tarot card he was given between his fingers as he walks. He pauses as he gets to the steps, debating for a moment now whether he wants to go upstairs or continue looking around down here.]

Hmmm.

[Bother him if you like or whatever]

[ Sefton is in the library, continuing his search on tarot, when he hears someone else inside. He glances up to see if it's anyone he might recognize, then looks pretty discontent when he notices the card. Just how many were given out, anyway? ]

May I see that card?

[he just continues doing his thing, finally deciding on heading up the stairs]

[ Sefton debates, because really, he's not usually this involved in everything, but the sooner he figures the mystery out, perhaps he can get some peace for a bit.

Snapping the book shut, he gets up and follows after Handy, keeping a barrier of a few feet between them, of course. ]

... Hey.

[looks at the card and then hands it over for Satoshi to see]

Sure.

[and picks up a nearby book on Impressionist painters and begins flipping through.]

[turns around, putting down the book he was just looking at]

Yes?

[Satoshi examines it for a moment, face betraying nothing, and then holds it back out to Handy]

Thank you.

Uh—did you get a note? Sent by someone named "J"?

[takes it back still looking through the book]

Perfectly all right. Were you looking for anything in particular as far as that goes?

Yeah, not too long ago really. It came with the card itself.

... really? [ Which is not how it happened for him. Odd. ]

[pauses]

Or no, it was a little after, I got the card here from a werewolf. The note came later. My mistake.

Werewolf... you mean that not-dog-thing. Mind if I ask what the note said?

(ooc: Issokay. ♥)

Is that what it was? I wasn't entirely sure. Werewolf does sound a bit better than 'not-dog-thing' though, doesn't it?

[pauses, and then pulls out the note]

Let's see.

'Does anyone actually consider you a person? Really? Oh, but don't worry. You are the star tonight. You shine electric outta sight. Your light eclipsed the moon tonight. Whoops! Now isn't the time for REM lyrics.'

[and then folds it up again and puts it back in his pocket]

It just told me it wasn't a dog. [ Shrugs, then listens while Handy reads the note aloud. ]

Okay... uh, does that actually relate to your card in... any way?

Oh. Hmm...I wonder what it was then? Do werewolves classify as 'not a dog'?

[pauses, considering his card]

Well, I did get The Star, and there was that bit in there about being one tonight or some nonsense, so I suppose so yeah.

I... wouldn't know.

Sounds about as vague as what I got. Do you know what the Star means?

[holds up hers] I found it in my bag.

Oh? And what was it that you got then?

[ Sefton hesitates a little, but pulls out his own note from his pocket. ]

"People confuse lust and love too often for my tastes. Are you one of those types? Maybe. Maybe not. Love isn't just physical attraction, friend. Love is also finding connections with others. ... J."

[ He figures the note itself is pretty telling of what card he got, so he folds the note and puts it back for now. ]

I did. Got it off of a werewolf. Well, suppose it was a werewolf. Someone else just says that the fellow giving these out identified himself as 'not a dog', though I'm not really sure that disqualifies werewolf, since they're not the same thing.

They're probably two different genus, at least.

[she gives him a smile, and then nods at the books] Anything interesting?

{Diva was about to come down the steps, and tilts her head when she sees the card}

Ah, you have one too?

Oh, well it sounds nice enough at least. Worse things to get than love notes.

Right, exactly. So werewolf it is until I'm unequivocally told differently.

Hmm? Oh, not so far, no. Figured I'd just wander until I found something. It's not so bad, getting lost in a library.
