chapter 1
---My God! What is this...this place?!
{The very beautiful, young (looking) man is no less than terrified to find himself standing in the sky, and rightfully so. He is from Victorian-era London, after all. Very repressed, right?}
It is a thing of...beauty, I have no doubts about that, but it is something from a fanciful novel, it would seem. A place full of the heavens--And look, even I appear to have been touched by their fragile light. Is it an enchantment?
No, of course not.
It would be better to call it some fancy of the mind, but at the same time, that is not possible either. I have not even considered such things. Nothing to cloud my mind any more, I did promise, and I have done so dutifully, and not even took a bit of anything to ease my sleep...
{And as if that is his own justification, he very carefully takes a step, and is shocked once more to not fall. So he walks, curiously.}
Have I...died? This cannot be such a beautiful Hell. A waking dream, that seems more likely. I should apologize to Basil at once when I wake.
---Is that a Colosseum? Are these stars I walk upon above Rome? I should have quite preferred London, but I suppose I cannot even entertain the fancies of my own mind...

It's not a dream, and I doubt either of us is dead. I may not entirely sure what this place is, but I am certain you that you are very much alive and awake if you can come here.
