{Diva stumbles onto the Astral Plane holding her side tightly. She soon collapses to her hands and knees, only to vomit a splat of thick blood onto the not-floor. She groans and gasps as her hands clench in apparent pain. For the real recipient of such an experiment, it probably would not have caused such a violent reaction, but Diva wasn’t even the same species at all.

But in any case, she’s escaped to the Astral Plane to avoid any more of those injections and let the current one take its course.}

{She stays quiet for a moment before she glances up through her veil of thick black hair.}

...It changed. {Wipes at her mouth}

{She wipes at her mouth with a half-cough, but she smiles bitterly. Not like she could see it through the thick veil of hair, but it's a bitter tone to match at least.} My world is.....gone. It all just changed. Then...Joel. That man like Joel.

{She laughs quietly} Why did it change?

[madamemoiselle]

...It was a man like Jo~el~ {She's chiming out the phrase, but it's definitely bitter and dangerous}

Whatever was in that damned needle, it really...hurts.

Everything! I just woke up and everything was different. It didn't look like New York at all, and there was that person like Joel and {And at this point, she has to stop to cough blood into her hand again, sorry about that.}

{Glances up}

...I don't know what it was.

I take it you woke up somewhere that was not where you fell asleep then?

{She's clutching at her sides now, but she glances over. Diva looks tired and strained, and her voice comes out the same way.}

...What happened? It's not home at all, and I don't know anyone, and there's...That man is like Joel. It's the same as Joel. Why did it change?

[frowns and pulls out his sonic screwdriver] Erm, sorry, I know you're not fond of doctors but can I at least check to make sure you're all right? Everything's all switched up. We've ended up in different places.

NO, no {Shuffles away, bringing her hand to her mouth as she coughs}

...It'll go away. I'm fine.

{Surprised} Sam?

{She frowns warily as she peers up at him} ...I thought you hated me. Why do you care?

What happened? I have a bed here, on the Astral Plane. I can take you to it if you want to lie down.

....It was a person like Joel. He injected...something...into me. It feels like...my insides are burning. Like that. {Nods slightly, as if pleased with that description}

But I'll be fine. It'll either pass or I'll die.
