☠ 03
[Sam's found a ping pong table! But seeing as she currently has no one to play with, she's wandering around the room playing "Keep The Ball Bouncing" with a paddle in each hand.]
You know, I'm pretty glad this happened. Means I get to chill for a bit.
[After a few more bounces, she smacks the ball across the room with as much force as she can, just to see how far it'll go, grinning.]
[Any challengers~~?]

Hey, Sam! Where'd all the ping pong stuff come from?
no subject
[She holds one of the paddles out for him to take.] So, enjoying the steam and whatnot?
no subject
[Danny starts up the game and sends the ball over to Sam's side of the table.] The steam? I guess it's okay...I just wish there was less of it. It's hard to breathe through all that.
no subject
[She easily returns the ball to Danny's side of the table, grinning.]
Yeah, I can see how that'd be a problem. But so far so good, right?
no subject
[sends the ball back to Sam's side just as easily.]
Well, it is kinda relaxing. At least it's better than being stuck at home every day!
no subject
[She has to duck to the side to get it, but she manages well enough.]
Oh right, you're stuck at home all the time in your version of reality... You know, these places are supposed to be healthy. Maybe you'll feel even better as the days go by.
no subject
[He gets it, but doesn't send it back too strongly--it barely makes it over the net before the first bounce on her side.]
Oh yeah...different realities. I almost forgot about that. But maybe you're right. It's kinda hard to feel worse than I have this week, so it might actually help.
no subject
[She leans forward to keep it going, fumbling about a bit in her attempt to get there and ultimately having to lean on the table. She laughs a bit.]
This week? [Worried frown] What happened?
no subject
[This time, he tries to hit the ball back a bit harder to get it in an easier range for Sam to hit back.]
Oh, uh. I was kinda...beat up. A lot.
no subject
[And she smacks it back, dead-center.]
What?! By who?! Geez, Danny, what happened?
no subject
[Ack! It's coming a bit fast for him, but he just manages to hit back to Sam's side. Whether or not it's going to stay on the table, though...]
I-I don't know! It was just--some guy covered in metal armor came up and started beating me up! He called me something and caught me in a net when I got here. [In fact, just thinking about it is making him feel queasy. Very queasy.]
no subject
He... he what? [Sounds like some sort of ghost... but why would a ghost pick on this Danny if this Danny isn't involved in all of that? Oh wait, he's not looking that great...] Hey... You okay over there?
no subject
It looked like he was flying--with a jet pack and wings or something like that. And he called me a name...something like "half", and that's when he started to beat me up and catch me in a net!
no subject
"Half"... like, halfa?
no subject
no subject
[A small, nervous and awkward laugh] Probably sounds like a bunch of nonsense to you, though.
no subject
[Oh, oh, but now he's stopped! Here's a frown just for you, Sam.]
Ghost powers? You're joking, aren't you?
no subject
[Sigh!] I'm not kidding, Danny.

Ghosts keep slipping through now. You and Christopher end up having to wrestle 'em back through, or at least get them to quit bugging everyone in Amity Park.
no subject
Do you have any idea how completely insane that sounds? I'd think you were nuts if I hadn't gone into the portal too.
no subject
((OoC: Late tag is late as real life reared its ugly head. >: I'm so sorry! If it's too late, don't worry about it, I understand. :x ♥?))
no subject
[The sarcasm, it is evident!]
((OOC: S'fine! I'll probably be about as slow in coming months, so slow threads will. Probably be happening a lot. XD))
no subject
That's not my fault! Just... look, that thing that was after you still called you a halfa, right? Maybe there's something else going on, too!
no subject
Even if it did call me a halfa, I definitely don't have any "superpowers", or anything like that! The only "something else" going on here is me nearly puking my guts out every day!
no subject
Would you just listen to me?! I'm not saying you should have superpowers! I'm just saying that maybe your getting sick wasn't the only thing it did!
no subject
no subject
no subject
And I'm guessing you do?
no subject
[She frowns at the coughing, though, and the anger dispels, for the most part.]
no subject
no subject
You know what? Nevermind.

[A long pause... then she throws up her arms, intending to give the impression that she's exasperated.]
I don't know. Look, just be careful, I guess. Okay? [... then her word choice and faltering tone kind of give away the worry.]
no subject
I don't think that'll be too hard. After all, how many other armored guys on jetpacks will be out to try and catch me in a net?
[But the gears start grinding, and he realizes the full implications of what happened when he was attacked. And now the fear really starts to set in. And thanks to the he's wearing, Sam may start to feel it too.
This probably should have played a part here earlier, but shhhhhhh.]no subject
[She shakes her head rapidly, trying to get rid of the fear, but it's not going away. She ends up staring at the floor again.]
