[So here's Dorothy, in her usual summer clothes, holding an armload of flowers. Aww. She's making her way across the Plane in the direction of the Kitchen, whistling a tune to herself and generally being in a very good mood! For once! Hooray!

Of course now that she's here, someone is probably going to come ruin her day, as that seems to happen more and more often on the plane, and why she hasn't been around much lately. Why don't you go ahead and be one of those people? You might as well-- if you don't, someone else will.]

[Nine really doesn't mean to be one of those people, but his day was sort of ruined in an incredibly epic fashion already. He doesn't even notice Dorothy when he walks by, too wrapped up in his own brooding and general self-loathing. Thanks for that, Omega. :|]

[HONK. Wrong. You know the sound of the buzzer in every single 1970s gameshow? That sound happens inside Dorothy's head when someone is lying-- or at least trying to be less than truthful. She frowns]

Gettin' to be late in the summer, so I went ahead and picked some of the nicer flowers for my Auntie Em to have around the house. Think she'll like 'em? She's big on yellow flowers, says they're cheeriest.

Would you mind helping me out? Could you check the cabinets and see if there's a vase 'round here somewhere? Thought I remembered seein' one above the sink there, but I could be wrong.

[occasionally makes comments about bizarre alien plants in reply, but mostly filters it all out. He nods absently when she asks for help, going through the cabinets to look for said vase. It doesn't take him long to find it.] Will this one do?

[Someone DID! Someone has a huge armload of a selection of very lovely flowers, mostly shades of yellow and white with the occasional peach. Buttercups and carnations and what-have-you. They smell lovely! Dorothy would probably share them, if asked to.]

[Dorothy would never ask him to do such a thing!! hdu. Anyway she arranges the flowers tastefully in the vase and moves it to the center of the kitchen table, then steps back a bit to admire it, brushing the odd petal or two off her shirt]

You think that's okay? I think it's nice. Aunt Em'll like it plenty.

[abruptly she turns her attention to him, beaming]

Now! Sit down and take a load off. Want to see what I've got for ya?
