[the Doctor has a science experiment set up! In fact, he's brought on quite a bit of laboratory equipment. On a table is a long row of small, bushy plants, each covered with a different sort of covering or force field, except the last two. The Doctor is making notations on a chart about the progress of each.]

[after a few minutes, he reaches under the table and grabs a blowtorch, starting on the most heavily shielded, and begins slowly burning the plants.]
