[So! Koen is ordering me to post and I can't think of details, so here is the Master, doing something. What is it? No one knows, not even me. It is, in fact, a mystery. Pretty cool, yeah, I know.

Now, why should this matter? It should matter because you should talk to him. Yeah. You should. Maybe with your help we can figure out what exactly is going on here, because currently ~it is a mystery for the ages~.]

And here I thought you'd finally disappeared.

[It is entirely YOUR fault, because you wanted it.

But! The Master peers up from his work and smiles politely at Gene, though it's easy to see he is Still Not Particularly Pleased.]

No such luck, Mr. Hunt. I've simply been busy.

Wasn't aware cleaning sand from your clothes took that much effort.

[And with that, his mood sours.]

It doesn't, and with that in mind, perhaps the state of my dress and the various annoyances of sand should be the least of your worries. Unless my apparel is of such concern to you that it supersedes anything else...?

[this causes conflicting emotions in the Doctor, which naturally he ignores for a polite smile] Hello. Making progress?

[The Master grins.] It's rather unfortunate Mr. Tyler isn't here, mm?

[hey Handy really hasn't interacted with this Master and thus is a little cautious, but approaches anyway]

What's that?

[The Master glances up.] Somewhat. It's going slower than I'd like, but I suppose I shall have to make due with it for now.

[The Master takes this as a challenge, and promptly throws a punch directly at Gene's jaw.]

[and Gene wasn't prepared for it and ousbgosubg you ass]

Oi!

[The Master slightly narrows his eyes.] Just a project I've been working on.

[hey, no need for eye narrowing, even the slight sort! he will now stand with arms crossed over his chest and give the Master a LOOK]

I was just asking. Didn't realize it was some great big secret, sorry.

[and he keeps his distance for a minute, then comes closer, trying to get a better look]

[MEL I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THE MASTER IS DOING SO GETTING A BETTER LOOK AIN'T GOING TO HELP YOU OOCLY JUST SO YOU KNOW. Anyway the Master is constantly pissy and ignores the look, because you know what, he's seen that look before and it has no effect.]

My apologies. I've not been in the best of moods lately.

[:| it doesn't mean he's sharing Handy, sry.]

[The Master smiles.]

I believe you overestimate your own abilities.

[WELL FIGURE IT OUT DERO! GAWD! Well the Master is a jerk :| ]

Any particular reason or just general....surliness?

[fiiine, you jerk :| he backs away a little, but he still wants to know wth the Master's doing]

[The Master isn't going to down that easy, and blocks the swing with one arm, then throws a punch aimed at Gene's gut.]

[Gene was expecting retaliation and so moves accordingly, making a sweep at the Master's legs]

[I SAID TO START WITH I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING.]

Just an unfortunate turn of events from a bit ago.

[And the Master, similarly, knows how Gene operates, so even as he's going down, he grabs for one of Gene's arms - or perhaps the front of his shirt, whichever he happens to grab if he does - and attempts to drag him down as well.]

[and Gene goes down hard on the Master

and yes I purposefully chose that wording]

[Oh, Gene. Always hard for the Master in various ways. The Master is momentarily pinned with Gene's weight, but he doesn't hesitate. He summons up his strength to sort of fling Gene off of him.]

[I CARE NOT!!! FIGURE IT OUT!!!]

Well, a bit ago at least means it is over and done with. So some time has passed that's good and -

[tries to get a closer look, but dammit, he can't so he just bounces back again]

And that is good.

Holy shit that looks weird.

[and Gene goes wheeeeeeee, hitting the Plane ground with a loud thud.

this is not his day]

[The Master smirks and lumbers to his feet!]

[as does Gene, glaring at the Master]

You just won't give up, will you?

Of course not. There's nothing to be gained from giving up.

And what's to be gained from trying to kick my ass?

Nothing of true significance, but it is a wonderful way to deal with pent up frustration. But... the same could be asked of you as well, Mr. Hunt. What do you gain from instigating fights with me?

I'm not instigating. I'm just telling the truth.

[The Master does a small, exasperated sigh.] I don't mean currently, Mr. Hunt. There have been moments where you attacked first. Granted, I provoked you, but the situation remains. What do you get from it?

[I was going to start off with something about pineapples, but now I am not, so have a rather distracted looking Juni almost tripping into you, Master!] Oh, sorry, should've been paying attention.

...What on earth is that?

[his hands, before clasped behind his back, fall to his sides as he comes closer] Perhaps I can help?

Because pushing you makes me feel better.

[The Master is vaguely amused with this.] So when it comes down to it, we share the same reasons behind the mostly senseless fights between us.

Even bastards have to have some taste sometimes.
