This is like some weird movie. All right. Best to handle this logically and professionally. It's just like an investigation. Except I'm not going to get paid.

[types apparently on the air as she goes] Let's see...there's a lot of people who haven't heard of Japan. And people from different times. There's a pirate and a dead princess. And some cops. And Akagi the red coat. And the Master guy. And the person I'm teaching about computers. It seems like a lot of people are alone, too. And it's too early to say if this place has any noticeable patterns.

I told Yasako about this place but she can't come here. And she doesn't notice when I'm gone. Time doesn't pass. My parents didn't notice, either.

Uhm. I think that's all I have. [finishes typing and stretches]

Ne...there's no one named Michiko-san here, is there? And no one's heard of her, right?

It feels real for me too, don't you worry about that. I heard this was some sort of experiment, maybe they really did only select a few to participate, though I have no idea how that works.

An experiment...I thought people had to sign up for things like that. I know no one asked me.

Neither did anyone ask me, maybe we should go and teach them a lesson for it.

Heh, out of all the people around me, picking me out sure shows they know how to chose their participants well.

Let's see. [flips out notebook] No one who's can't get to this place can see those twins, for one. Or their shop. The Guv can see me, and I can see the Guv, but it's as if... I don't know, he's got a Manchester and I've got a Manchester, and his Manchester can't see me, and mine can't see his. But! When I took off my shoe, the Guv could see it until I dropped it. And he couldn't see the files Chris handed to me - or Chris - until I had them in my hand. Though, when he opened the door to his office for us to step in [making that sound a lot nicer than it was] it did open from my point of view, too. And yes, time doesn't seem to pass when you're here.

[well, Fumie isn't that violent] Erm, well, you could. I usually just get back at people by hacking into their stuff.

[stands up on her toes to see his notebook] That's pretty good! [typing to the side] So...when we leave this place, we all go home, huh?
