[A little boy suddenly appears on the Plane and stares in a combination of shock and awe.] Golly.

[He stares down at the floor of the Plane and taps it with his foot, then grins widely at the fact it's solid and all that.] Wow, whoever made this floor must've spent a long time making it look like that...

[Does he seem to be bothered by being out in space? No. Not at all.] I wonder if- [His face lights up and he looks around excitedly.] Is this heaven? But I thought- Hmmmmmm.

Maybe... maybe this is where you wait before you go to heaven! But I don't remember dying or anything. Huh. Oh well!

[Fumie is a bit shocked by this sort of reaction. Also that he's her age. Awesome. She walks over, eating a popsicle.]

Ah, you're not in heaven. I don't think so, anyway.

Really?

Mm! I haven't heard people talk about heaven here.

Ah, right. [She holds the popsicle in one hand and sticks out the other.] I'm Fumie. It's nice to meet you.

[Orel takes her hand and shakes it, grinning.] I'm Orel. Nice to meet you, too! So... if we aren't in heaven or anything, where are we?

[ Rose perked up when she noticed a boy standing on the plane. ]

Sorry mate, this isn't heaven.

You new then?

[ She was a bit surprised at how well he seemed to be handling it. ]

Well... I've never been here before, so I guess I am.

[She drops her hand and smiles.] It's called the Astral Plane. It connects other worlds and times. Things like that. You can come here and time won't pass. Sometimes it can be a little troublesome but there are nice people to talk to here.

Suppose you are then. Seem to be takin' this well for your age. You are an actual kid, not some sort of alien that looks like one, right?

Wow. [Orel seems to be trying to figure out the response to that.] So... I could spend an hour up here and nobody home would know I was gone, right?

Oh no, I'm human like every body else.

Mm! [She leans in and talks in a loud whisper.] One time we stayed here for days. That was a special case though. But I bet you could live here if you wanted.

[Orel listens with his mouth open in that typical I'm-listening-to-some-sort-of-secret way kids get sometimes. And he totally focuses on this following train of thought:] Did you sleep in tents and with sleeping bags? I bet camping up here would be really neat.

Some people had beds or slept in the theater or some place like that. There are woods, though! You could have a tent there.

Not every body else is...

There's a forest up here? And a theater? [He grins.] Sounds like this place has everything!

Mhm! And anything it doesn't have, you can just bring it here. I like this place. You can do homework here, too.

[Orel laughs.] They are too. I know that.

That'd be nice - Shapey always tries to take my homework away from me and gets mad when I won't let him.

Nee, I don't think heaven would be like this, gero! I don't think. This is not heaven, and we're not dead gero... We're not! [He totally confused himself--] Heaven looks different anyway, gero!

Yeah, Heaven's supposed to be clouds and angels and stuff. I was just thinking... maybe this was where you waited. I dunno.

You sure bout that? Mean how do you really know?

Ah, Shapey?

Well... I think so. I haven't met anyone green or anything, and everyone knows aliens are green.

Oh! He's my little brother.

Angels, gero? [Frowns.] What are those, gero? But nee nee, clouds, yes! And lot of rain, and food, gero! That is Heaven, gero! It rains all day! Nee nee you have to wait before going to Heaven, gero? Why would you have to wait, hm?
