He's sitting at the bar, and even though he's poured himself a beer, it's going untouched. He's resting his elbow on the bar and his chin in his hand, staring off into space with a frown. Every few minutes, he manages a sigh, but he's keeping quiet otherwise.]

Naah--! [Kuhn starts a little, but relaxes quickly enough and exhales.] Geez, man. I didn't see you there.

Everyone's asleep. It must be nighttime.

[He halfheartedly glances at his drink and takes a sip.] Yeah? Everyone logged off, then? It's just after midnight for me.

More like the one who gave it to me isn't so happy with me anymore. She didn't like it that I brought Subaru there, and when Subaru left, she...

[He doesn't know the word for it. He scrunches up his face and shakes his head.]

I don't know what it was. But it was a light that lifted me up... and then things tore apart. Again.

Hey there, Diva. [He shakes his head.] Don't worry about it, it's... nothing.

[He blinks, stares... and then winces when he finishes his story.]

What the... Who, or what, has that kind of power? ... Are you alright now?

... [He sighs, and puts a hand on his cap, slouching forward in his seat.]

I remember even less than before. But that was a bit ago.

It really is nothing, especially compared to what a bunch of other people here say they're going through. I'm just... I don't know. Lonely, I guess?

{She smiles, taking his hand lightly} That's definitely not "nothing". Loneliness is a really sad thing.

Yeah. Sounds weird saying it, but...

[He lets her, and gives her hand a very gentle squeeze as he smiles somewhat ruefully.] For all the friends I'm capable of making on the Plane or online, it's not like I have anyone that close to me in the real world. Usually, I don't mind it. But sometimes, I kinda realize... it's not the same.

Well...I can't say anything about "online", since I only barely know what that is, but...You don't need to be that hard on yourself, Kuhn. I mean, my only friends are on the Plane. Even if it's not the same, it feels the same to me.

[He blinks at her, surprised.] Your only friends? No way... it seems like you're someone everyone would love, anywhere you went.

Well, I guess that's true, a little bit. After all, who could resist a cute face like mine?

{She winks, then the teasing tone is gone again} But...None of those people are friends. They don't want to know me, they just want me to be theirs, or my money, or my power. The people here, that doesn't matter to them.
