[It is not unusual to see Dino working at a desk while on the Plane. What is slightly unusual is that this is not his normal desk. This is a tiny, cramped, cheap looking desk that is piled high with paper work that happens to be balanced around a computer. Buried in the mess are several photos. Most of them show Dino standing with various other people, all of them wearing a uniform. He happens to be wearing that same uniform right now, although the jacket is thrown over the back of his chair and his hat is balanced on top of a fish bowled that is currently sitting in an open drawer on the desk. Dino himself is filling out some paperwork, looking slightly annoyed.]

It wasn't even like I meant that to happen...I tripped!

[Sam is confused, not because he thinks Dino is in the mafia, but because he thought Dino was in health and safety. This is enough to drag him out of his 'god I hate everyone, all my friends suck' cranky mood]

Health and safety?

I know several people who would flip out over a mess like that.

[ She's swiped the hat and is inspecting it. ] Nice uniform.

[Looks over to see who it is] Hi Anglea. Be careful with that please? [Angela might see the little turtle that is looking up from the bottom of the empty fish bowl if she looks down]

Mess? [Looks at his desk then kind of laughs] Oh, my desk. I've been meaning to clean it off but things have gotten so busy lately..

[Dino will as equally confused! Since he is convinced he's been always been a cop, he would have no reason to lie to Sam at all! So he does not remember making up that cover story.] Excuse me?

[ She does notice! And since she's clueless about Enzio, she's reaching in to try and scoop him up. ]

Huh. A detective and an empath? That's different. Ow! Hey, cut that out, little guy.

Change of wardrobe?

I'm not a detective exactly....ah, you might not want to do that! Enzio is a little cranky sometimes.

Yeah. Wish that excuse worked with Maka.

[ Alas, the turtle is too insistent on biting her fingers to be picked up, so she settles with wearing his hat. ]

Enzio? Interesting name for a turtle.

Maka one of those people who doesn't like things to be out of order?

[Glances up at him.] Oh, hi Hei. What do you mean? It's just my uniform.

Your...uniform? It's a bit official, isn't it?

Right in one. It's such a hassle sometimes.

[Laughs] At least the person who used to hassle me over stuff like that is hassling someone else right now. So this Maka is a friend of yours I assume?

[Looks slightly confused] Of course it's official! That's the point of having a uniform isn't it? How else are civilians suppose to know they can trust me?

He was a gift and the guy who gave him to me named him.

Dino, ah. Sorry, my memory has been a bit off lately. What is it you do exactly?

Ah, so you didn't pick the name. [ She peeks in the glass and notices something. ] Well, no wonder he's cranky, he doesn't have any water in there.

[ Cue the image of a little blue mermaid popping up over Angela's head as she prepares a spell. ]

She's my Technician. [Feels that this explains everything.]

[Snatches Enzio up. He's used to grabbing him so he avoids being bitten. He doesn't need to know what the mermaid does to know it's not going to be good] No water! Water is bad for him!

[You get an odd look Hei but says proudly] I'm an officer for the Guardia di Finanza, just like I've always been. Are the twins messing with you again?

Technician?

I'm a weapon. A Demon Scythe.

Guess it's true, huh? Demon Weapons don't exist in other worlds.
