(no subject)

[You know who we haven't seen in a long while? The Master.

And so, he appears! He is disheveled, and panting - though not from exertion, but from rage. His hands are curled into tight fists as if he is attempting to keep what self-restraint he has. And his eyes are wide black of a predatory cat on the hunt.

If anything, it is very obvious that he is not in a good mood. At all.]

[the Doctor can't resist approaching him after so long - well, he could, but he doesn't want to - but he keeps a certain distance]

[Hmmmm. Two observes.]

[Self knows very much when to start worrying]

Master.

[he thinks this will be better at catching his self's attention than 'Self']

Master. [he holds his hands out, an open gesture]

You're not in control. That's not like us.

[Well fuck. She happened to be nearby--still dressed in her ratty scrubs and wielding a lead pipe. Unfortunately, she hasn't gotten the message Sam left on her phone.

Because unfortunately, she doesn't HAVE it right now.]
contract_star: (you could come with me)

[Nearby, but keeping his distance. For the first time in awhile where it concerns the Masters, curiosity trumps fear. Hei is wondering what could get the Master that pissed off.]

[Ammy senses danger and decides to lurk.]

[he'll work with it!]

Whatever it is that has you quite upset, succumbing to the virus won't solve anything. It will only make things worse. Remember, you are the Master, a Time Lord - the most intelligent Time Lord in aeons, perhaps ever. You're not a cheetah, not one of that planet. You are of Gallifrey, where rationality rules supreme. That and stagnation, but we ran away for a very good reason.

[She's trying to think what could upset him this much. It's probably something to do with Gene. And considering everything that she and Sam had been working on--

Maybe. Just maybe.

A smile breaks across her face, fierce and satisfied.]

So they did it after all?

[Little green snake coiled nearby, just watching. He's not dumb enough to say anything annoying in the hopes of getting a laugh.]

[...yet.]

[the colour is clearly the moral support that the Master needs]

Let's talk about... no, those are a bit alarming. And that's all rumour and gossip. And I doubt you want the abridged version of your life. We could talk about TTC mechanics. TARDISes. Type 40s are rather outdated, but we could discuss Type 50s. Or 80s. Did I mention that the Time War had Type 90s? The first attempts at war TARDISes, very impressive. Oddly, their chameleon circuits disguised them as places of religious worship half the time. Which, really, is almost hilariously ironic, given what their actual purpose is.

[fine, there is space! The Master keeps talking]

Do you remember the Eye of Harmony? Not so intimately as you may one day know it, of course, but even so. An anchor in the Web of Time, the centre that creates and is created - that which shall neither flux nor wither nor change its state. We do have to give Rassilon credit; he did rather well at founding a long-lasting empire. Certainly, it had an awful habit of not changing, ever, but it wasn't a bad show of it. And all because of the Eye of Harmony.

You know, if Omega was trapped in that particular singularity, it must be that he once lived in the Eye of Harmony! Fancy that; I never met him.

They did. [Relief comes along with that satisfaction, too, and some little twist of tension she didn't know was there loosens up and disappears.] They beat you.

[Well. They've won a round, at least.]
