[HEY PLANE CHECK IT OUT: DOROTHY'S BROUGHT PIES. Cherry, pecan, pumpkin, apple, strawberry rhubarb, all warm and gooey and smelling absolutely delicious.

She's laying them out on a table with napkins, paper plates, plastic forks and big tubs of ice cream and cool whip. Apparently it's serve-yourself style today! Although Dorothy is hanging around, so maybe she's just using the pies as a lure to get people to come talk to her.

HMM I WONDER WHY. Now go get some pie.]

I don't think so. People here tend to like my baking, though, so I thought I'd provide. Always good to get in some practice before the summer fair season starts-- the Plane's a good testing ground for my recipes!

What, never had pie before? Now that's a cryin' shame. Here, you can try a slice of cherry. Good place to start.

[Dorothy cuts a slice for him and puts it on a plate, ads a dollop of whipped cream and a little scoop of vanilla ice cream and hands him the plate and a fork]

[He takes it, blinks, sniffs it, then goes for the filling. He pops a bit in his mouth, pauses, as though considering the taste, then swallows.]
