[When she appears, she's bleeding from numerous small-but-not-serious cuts. Her clothes are ragged. She has a fantastic bruise climbing from her shoulder, visible through the torn clothing, up the side of her face.]

[She looks livid.]

Anyone with access to my reality and healing capabilities, your assistance is required. Any supplies that the rest of you can provide without undue difficulty are also necessary. You will be compensated at a later date. Anyone who can neither provide medical nor supplementary assistance is invited to clear rubble, provided you can see it.

And does anyone have a spare mobile?

I have no idea. I haven't been able to get to headquarters and every government number I've tried has short-circuited the phone I dial it on.

Explosions. Across the entire city, on and off for the past hour. I don't know what's caused them but I'm almost certain it's some sort of organized attack. Communications have been purposefully jammed.

[And she obediently comes to stand next to him.] None. The EPR was too disorganized for something like this, last we heard, and while there are any number of small groups that would like to mount an attack of this scale...

[She shakes her head.] I need to get to headquarters and see what they know, if anything.

At this point I'm not sure. It's been quiet for about ten minutes. [She tugs her hair tie out and finger-combs some of the residue of collapse out of her hair.]

[Carefully goes over her, starting at the cuts, then carefully laying his hands over her shoulder.] You're lucky this is not completely dislocated. [But he has to shift it anyways and it may or may not HURT LIKE A BITCH]

[YEAH IT DOES. She hisses, grabbing a handful of his chuba to stay upright.] Something related to law enforcement, maybe. That's how it worked for me and Sam--CID and the NPA headquarters were in the same building.

Absolutely no chance this is someone working alone. From the direction of some of the smoke clouds I'm guessing several embassies were hit. Time-wise the proximity of the blasts doesn't allow for one person to be responsible for all of the explosions, even if it's done by remote.

[A pause] Of course, if it's being done telepathically we're into a whole different kind of shit.

[He pops out and pops back in with his trusty first-aid kit.] You won't be able to find anything out while injured.

[He starts going to work patching her up before she can protest.]

Accident? Explosion? What was it?

Well, if you can't phone headquarters, you probably gotta get there in person. You got a set of wheels?
