055: Vacation, Had to Get Away

[Hei is on the Plane in this hut. He's sitting on the edge and dangling his feet over the sides, looking out over the Plane with a rather contented expression.]

I think I needed that. It's weird seeing palm trees with snow on them, though.

[He sighs and leans back against the thatch.]

Now I guess I've got to find those two.

[Romana was, for once, not in Presidential robes and instead dressed in riding black riding pants and boots as well as a high collared blue blouse with a darker azure vest over it. Hands on her hips she's studying the Hut curiously.] Who are you looking for?

Yeah. But the island is still there, strangely. And still tropical, which is odd in the middle of winter in Sapporo.

Oh, hello Romana. There are two people in my reality that I promised I'd meet. Now my reality is back to normal, so I should go find them.

Our realities can be altered? [Still studying because, well, she's been stuck on Gallifrey for so long she's only been in the Citadel she pauses as she thinks.] Well, I suppose it would make sense. With a Nexus such as this connecting everyone it's bound to have side effects.

They can, yes. It happens every once in awhile. Usually it's annoying or dangerous, but I was actually stuck on an island. [Smiles.] It was pretty nice.

[He's silent for awhile, looking out over the Plane and just enjoying her company.]

I'm going to accept Azure and Verde's offer.

I guess so. It was a welcome break, at least.

Quite a bit.

I've still got to figure that out. But I think I'm going to help those two Contractors, Azure and Verde.

I'm going to help them. Which will mean...getting involved with the resistance. I'm not sure where it will lead, but... [He looks upward.] I wanted freedom, but as long as the Syndicate is around I don't think any of us will be. Not just Contractors, but humans too.

[contract_star]

[Blandly,] It's sort of a habit of the Syndicate. Colors, dates...they pick a theme and run with it for awhile. Azure, Verde, Carmine, Hei, Yin...Bai.

[mercwamouth]

...Right.

So what're these guys up to?

Apparently a lot of rumors are being spread about me among Contractors, mostly the ones resisting the Syndicate. They basically want me to act as a liaison between them and the remnants of the EPR, a group that was fighting the Syndicate. I'm not sure where it will go from there, but...

So the anti-Syndicate army thing you were talking about might actually happen?
