053: To See a World in a Grain of Sand

[Hei appears on the Plane looking thoroughly bemused. His feet are bare and covered in sand and his pantlegs are rolled up, exposing his ankles. He looks around the Plane, frowning and rubbing the back of his head in confusion. Then he drops from the Plane.]

[He reappears only a few minutes later with a palm full of sand. He turns his hand over and lets it trickle out onto the Plane floor.]

Hafta admit, this is a new one.

I just woke up there...there's a hut, a juice bar, but...no people. I walked around the entire island, but there's not a soul. Just beaches and palm trees.

[Pops out, pops back with a volleyball with a red handprint for a face and palm tree leaves sticking out of it]

But why is it...I mean, I don't really need anyone to talk to. I can still come and go from here fine, it's just...my reality is nothing but an island. And lots of ocean.

Well Skipper, sounds like you either got drunk and woke up on the set of "Lost", or the Twins are giving you a mandatory break from reality.

Either way, you're better off not thinking too much about it.

But it's an island...I've never even really liked beaches all that much. It doesn't make sense.

But why would they do something like this? Why not...it's just an island. It's...I mean it's nice. Why would they do something nice for me? There should be...I don't know, horrible monsters on the island or something, or some kind of psychological trauma...they've never done anything nice for anyone.

'Tis the season. Or... at least it twas. Plus they fucked you over big time with the last one. Maybe they think they owe you one.

Besides, it's only the first day. Psychological trauma might be just around the corner.
