Next to them, an open trunk, half-packed. It looks like she's planning on going away for a while, whatever she's packing for.]

[Henrietta herself is at her wardrobe, examining several of the dresses hanging there.]

He said if she wants to go somewhere fancy, then we'll have to dress up, too... What does a rich politician's granddaughter wear, anyway?

I meant what you're wearing now. I don't think I've ever seen anyone but rich kids wear duds like that.

...Y'know what? Just wear whatever you'd wear normally and you'll probably be fine. And once you turn eighteen, start dressing like a whore.

Ah, really? [She pulls one of the dresses down and looks at it.] I haven't done a mission like this in a while. They were going to send Triela, but...

[She frowns.] She's still not better. So I get to go instead.

Should I feel bad?

Yes! I get to protect someone important. I haven't had a long-term mission in a while.

She lost a fight with one of Padania's assassins. She couldn't even scratch him, but he hurt her pretty badly. She's kind of been hiding since, I guess. But I know they had to replace her hand.

...Of course you are. I'm sure you'll do a great job protecting this very important person.

[The demon is silent for a while, then shrugs. Might as well try to pass off his disgust with the Agency as apathy.]

I dunno. I'm certainly not the one to ask about matters of empathy, at any rate.
